Punta Sur
Punta Sur, located on the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, has a rich history deeply rooted in the cultural and religious beliefs of the ancient Maya civilization. Punta Sur was a sacred site dedicated to Ixchel, the goddess of fertility, childbirth, and medicine. Offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, it is said to be the first place in Mexico to receive the sun's rays every morning.
Avenida Miguel Hidalgo
The main street and heart of downtown Isla Mujeres. This vibrant avenue is lined with shops, restaurants, and bars. Our favorite restaurants are Xantolo for dinner and live music, Aroma Isla for healthy brunch, and Raw Bar for delicious seafood. Spend some time browsing through souvenir shops, art galleries, and boutiques where you can find everything from handmade crafts to clothing and jewelry.
