Question

Do I Need a Passport?

Answer

YES!! Please ensure your passport is valid for at least SIX (6) months after your planned departure date from Mexico. Planning ahead will ensure you don't miss out on any of the fun!

Question

Should I Bring Dollars or Pesos?

Answer

While US dollars are accepted on the island, for the best exchange rates, we suggest paying in pesos. ATMs and currency exchange services are available both at the airport and on the island for your convenience. While credit cards are widely accepted, it's often preferred or required to use cash when purchasing from local vendors or leaving tips. Don't forget to inform your banks of your travel plans to avoid any unexpected issues!

Question

Are Children Invited?

Answer

We're excited to share our special day with you and kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only occasion. Your understanding and support mean a lot to us as we create an atmosphere where all guests can fully enjoy the celebration. Thank you for respecting our decision.

Question

Is the Island Safe?

Answer

Yes! Isla Mujeres holds a special place in our hearts and we have always felt comfortable during our visits. The island is safe for walking around and its residents are incredibly welcoming. Additionally, there is a decent-sized Navy base on the island, keeping things peaceful and calm. Just exercise the same good judgment you would back home, and you're sure to have an amazing experience!

Question

Can I Drink the Water?

Answer

As a general rule, stick to bottled water for drinking purposes. However, the water and ice provided at restaurants and hotels are filtered. Moreover, the water on the island is purified, making it safe for tasks like washing fruit or brushing your teeth with faucet water.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

We are so grateful to celebrate our special day with you. If you were planning to bring a gift, we would truly appreciate a monetary contribution toward our honeymoon instead. Can't wait to celebrate together! Venmo: @Joaquin-Remus or @Amy-Waxman Zelle: amylw7575@gmail.com Germany: BW-Bank, Joaquin Remus, DE67 6005 0101 7430 0033 95
