Kristen & JJ were both invited to a Harry Potter themed Beer Olympics party by their friends, Hannah & Karl. Little did they know, their friends had been scheming and thought perhaps they could be a match! While at the party, Kristen noticed JJ's big brown eyes and how attentive he was, wanting to know more about her. JJ noticed Kristen's infectious giggle, aura of happiness, and how easy it was to talk to her. Their first date was at Del Mar Dog Beach, and on July 4th they become girlfriend and boyfriend. Kristen & JJ both knew during the first month of being together that they would one day tie the knot and couldn't wait for what their future held!

Kristen & JJ love the outdoors and going camping together. JJ said they should go camping at Mount Laguna, California, one of their favorite spots! Little did she know that JJ had a bigger plan for the weekend. On Saturday, they spent the day exploring Julian, one of their favorite little towns. In the late afternoon, JJ suggested they take a hike through the meadows at Mount Laguna, a beautiful place of seemingly endless green & golden meadows surrounded by pine trees (pictured in their engagement photos). Towards the end of the last meadow, they decided to take some photos. This is when JJ popped the question and Kristen said yes!
