Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We're not formal people, and the dress code isn't either. All we ask is that you steer away from jeans and t-shirts. Cocktail or sundresses are more than appropriate, same goes for slacks. Gentlemen will get a million bonus points for wearing suspenders and/or bow ties. If you are attending the ceremony, we highly recommend flat shoes as the ground can be soft.

I didn't get details about the ceremony?

Answer

Because our backyard is so small, we were forced to limit the number of attendees at the wedding ceremony. We wish all of you could fit! We hope to celebrate with you that evening, we'll even buy you a drink (or several!)

What's the plan B if the weather sucks?

Answer

If the weather doesn't cooperate and we're forced to move the ceremony inside, we'll meet at the venue and start the ceremony at 4pm. All guests are welcome to attend the relocated ceremony, as space constraints won't be an issue.

Should I get a rental car?

Answer

For guests coming from out of town, getting a rental car will free you up to explore Lincoln and Omaha a little, especially if you're flying into Omaha. However, we will be arranging for transportation from the hotel to the ceremony and from the hotel to the reception (and back again). If you do drive, you can park at Randolph Elementary to be close to our house, and the Que Street garage for the reception (though, if you're staying at the Marriott, their garage is less than three blocks from the reception).

What's the bar situation?

Answer

We'll be hosting a bar that serves beer from Minnesota and Colorado, in addition to a selection of red and white wines. The bar will be fully stocked, so if you prefer cocktails, that will be available to you!

What's for dinner?

Answer

As true carboholics, we'll be serving an Italian-style pasta bar, with chicken and your choice of pasta and sauce. Side veggies and breadsticks will also be available! The sauces are being specially created by the incredibly talented staff at the Talon Room, and we're excited to eat them with you!
