JP is Jim's oldest child, the first to be adopted. So it goes without saying that he's the favorite? JP is a treat. He is full of energy, excitement and a lot of useless information. We apologize in advance. He is also a lifelong TERP fan and is adjusting to the idea that his step brother and sister are UVA grads. Dad's getting married again is a dream come true for JP! It is life imitating art. His favorite movie is STEP BROTHERS. Now he will have one! He insists that he be served salmon at the reception and will continually shout "Get a room" to Caroline and Jim. Again, we apologize in advance. JP is full of life and personality and we are looking forward to him being a part of all of this.
Caitie Doyle
Bridesmaid
Caitie is Jim's oldest daughter. She was adopted from Latvia along with JP. Caitie is the straw that stirs the drink in our house! She gets everyone moving and is always up for a fun filled day! She has to be the favorite, right? Life is getting exciting for Caitie, married a couple of years ago to Matt, they recently welcomed the first grandchild!!! Little Miss Brooklyn makes life so wonderful. Caitie is busy being a full-time wife, mother and teacher. She will keep us all in line and is a wonderful part of our wedding party.
Sam Douthit
Groomsman
Sam is Caroline's son. He enjoys a nice book on the beach, playing golf and spending time with friends and family. In addition to golf, Sam enjoys actual exercise, and will likely find a way to tell you about how he ran the NYC Marathon that one time. He lives in New York and works in finance. He tries to see his Mom when he can.
Grace Douthit
Bridesmaid
Grace is Caroline's daughter, obviously. She's is also a bright, talented young architect. Like her brother, Grace is following her dream and living in NYC. Grace also has a thirst to explore the world. She is jet setter and loves visiting new places. Life is changing fast for Grace and she is taking it all on. She has never been afraid to do her own thing and tell her Mom no! She has hutzpah! We look forward to what the future holds for Grace. She is an important part of our special day, not just a bridesmaid, but will walk her Mom down the aisle with her brother.
Marybeth Cyr
Bridesmaid
Marybeth is Jim's youngest daughter. She is certain that she's his favorite. MB is a ball of fire and a lot of fun. Even more fun with some FireBall! She is a fun and sensative young lady. Still working on college and figuring life out (aren't we all?) She is excited to be a part of the wedding and is more than willing to offer her opinions on what we should be doing. This beautiful young lady will help make this day all that we hoped it would be.
Caleb Cyr
Groomsman
Jim's youngest child, some would argue the favorite. Caleb is a middle schooler, heading into the 8th grade this fall. He keeps us busy running him around to practices and games. Promises to buy us a nice house when he makes it big in the NFL. So it's all a small price to pay. Not really sure what's going on with the hair, but Caleb swears it's fashionable. He is a joy and a blessing. Not too many people our age get to do the things we're still doing. Caleb is a little disappointed that Caroline wouldn't give into his desire to wear baby blue tuxedos. Honored to have him stand up next to me!
Dennis Cyr

Dennis is Jim's brother. He's also part mermaid. Where do I even begin? We started out as roommates (six kids, who isn't sharing a room?) Mom had to reverse the lock on our bedroom door to keep Dennis inside! Luckily, it wasn't too high to jump out of the window. Been getting into trouble together forever. Through it all, we have remained close and have always been there for each other. Love my brother and can't imagine him not being a part of all of this.
Dave Sowers

Big Dave! This moniker not only refers to his physical stature but the size of his heart. BFD has a penchant for Coors Light and Old Bay! There's no explaining taste. Had my first beer with Dave way to early but a long time ago. Dave has been there for every major event in my life over the past 40 years, no way to change that now!
Rick Gardner

Kite Rider! While having a mid life crisis, Rick took up with all kinds of cool hobbies like kite surfing and foil boarding (???) His lovely wife Nikki agreed to go along with all of this so long as Rick keeps insurance payments current. Rick is another life long friend. He's included in the party because he gets lost fairly easily and this is a great way to keep track of him. Fun fact, Rick's Dad was my junior high school science teacher. I have also known him for nearly 50 years and he too has been a good friend through all of life's ups and downs. So blessed to call him my friend.
