Bride
Besides Jim, Brooke has many loves. The outdoors, sports, her family and friends, and advocating for social justice issues. Brooke works remotely for a St. Louis based piping company, Core & Main, as an Environmental, Health & Safety manager. Brooke was one of the founding members and current Board members for Lebanon Pride and helped usher in the first official Pride event in Warren County in 2024 and now 3 years running. She graduated in 2000 from Lebanon High School and in 2004 from Muskingum (formerly College) University with a degree in Environmental Science and Geology. Most everyone in her circle knows that she is a breast cancer survivor after having a double mastectomy in 2022. She is looking forward to celebrating her and Jim's wedding with all her family and friends near and far!
Groom
The same as his bride, Jim loves her but if you know him you also know that he is a sports fanatic. Reds, Bengals, FC Cincy, basketball, golf, bowling, playing on two adult baseball teams, kayaking, disc golf, and so many others. Jim graduated from Lloyd Memorial High School in 2002 and from Northern Kentucky University in 2007 with a Business degree. After working in various retail managerial positions in the greater Cincinnati area for over 20 years, he took the leap to Transit Supervisor at his dad's former company, Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority in late 2021. He's been enjoying working on their new house in Miamisburg and making it their own after renting for decades. He's not a hands off groom and has been spearheading wedding tasks like a pro. He keeps life fun with his hilarious jokes and competitive nature. He'll be sure to make you laugh along with us at the wedding!
Matron of Honor
Lindsay and Brooke met in 2000 and upon their first meeting could not stand one another. It took another few months and for Lindsay to ask Brooke to play on her intramural volleyball team at Muskingum for them to finally find a common bond and clear the air. They've been inseparable since! Lindsay grew up in Marion, OH, graduated from Muskingum College, and worked for over 20 years with her parents at their catering business. She is now the office manager at one of the most sought after dental practices in Dublin, OH and lives in Columbus with her husband, Chris (call him Rudy) and their dog, Ember. Lindsay has a razor sharp wit, always up for a good time, and never hesitates to help someone in need. A true gem!
Best Man
Shawn is Jim's older brother and if you know him you know his hilarity knows no end. Shawn is a Northern Kentucky University graduate (with additional masters degree) also followed in the family public transportation footsteps and is currently the CEO for the North County Transit/San Diego Railroad. He and his wife, Stacy, have 5 adult children. Just like his younger brother, Shawn is also a sports fan, especially the Cincinnati Bengals, where he and Mark had season tickets for a few years. We're grateful to have big bro standing up with us at our wedding!
Bridesmaid
Erin is Brooke's younger sister is also a Muskingum College graduate and lives in our hometown with her husband, Joel, and their two kids, Aubrey and Drew. Erin is a senior product manager at Paycor. She loves adventures at the beach, cruising, and watching the kids play sports. Erin is very clever and has the best sense of humor. Brooke will be eternally in her debt for all the help she's given her big sister over the years. We love you!
Groomsman
Rob is one of Jim's best friends. Brooke and Jim's second date was at his birthday party so he's been there since the very beginning. He's an 80s kid all the way and has an epic basement of all things from our childhood; buys and fixes arcade games, all the action figures, and his movie room is a "Blockbuster." Rob is also a Northern Kentucky University graduate and he and his wife, Ashley, live in northern Kentucky with their three kids and Rob works for Shankman & Associates in the retail sales and marketing arena. Thanks for being there for us, buddy!
Bridesmaid
Nicole is Brooke's older cousin by a whopping 8 months. They get mistaken for sisters more than her and Erin do! Nicole lives in Lexington with her fiance, Kris, and is a community event coordinator for Kroger where she's worked since she was a teenager starting off in the movie department and working to florist where she did arrangements for several years at the Kentucky Derby. Nicole is sweet and spicy and would go to the ends of the earth to help someone she loves. She's a big Kentucky Wildcats fan and her and Kris love to go to Reds games when they're able. Couldn't do life without you!
Groomsman
Ray is one of Jim's best friends and met when they were teenagers. Ray is a University of Cincinnati graduate and he and his wife, Erica, live in northern Kentucky with their two kids. Brooke also met Ray on their second date, so he's been there since the beginning as well! Ray is a family man through and through and we always have a great time playing group games together. Ray works in medical administration at St. Elizabeth's and is a nice guy all around and we so appreciate your support, pal!
Bridesmaid
Ryan is Jim's older sister and by the best life twist of fate, is Brooke's sorority sister! They graduated together from Muskingum where Ryan moved onto all her higher educational and living abroad pursuits in LA, Phoenix, Boston, and Turkey, earning her PhD. She and her husband, Hanna, live outside Washington, D.C. where Ryan works for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency for the federal government. Ryan is one of the most intelligent and interesting people you will ever meet so please make sure to stop her and say hello. We love you, sister! Thank you for being our biggest fans and help making our dreams come true!
Flower Girl
Aubrey is Brooke's niece, who will be a week shy of 6 years old making her debut as a flower girl! She's smart, spunky, and sassy and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Ring Bearer
Drew is Brooke's nephew and will be 4 years old when you see him hamming it up down the aisle. He is wily, witty, and wacky and keeps us on our toes!
Mother of the Bride
Pam has always been the life of the party since she and Don got married in 1980! Make sure to share a drink with her and say hello at the wedding, you won't regret it. She's been retired from Warren County Children Services since 2005 and is very involved in her kids and grandkids lives. She's one of 5 siblings and smack in the middle of the Harvey side. She grew up in Mason and moved to Lebanon in 1985, two weeks before Brooke's younger sister was born. We know she's looking forward to Brooke finally getting hitched!
Father of the Bride
Don is where Brooke got her love of all sports and the outdoors. He is a graduate of Muskingum Area Technical College (now Zane State) and has been retired since 2019 from the drafting and steel business but still works part time at The Feed Store in Lebanon with all his high school buddies. He loves to fish, golf, and watch all the Cincinnati sports. He and Jim have really hit it off. He's the second in line of 4 siblings and has lived in Lebanon his entire life. Also looking forward to Brooke finally tying the knot!
Father of the Groom
Mark's humor and love for his family is unmatched. He is one of 7 siblings. He is constantly helping his kids and grandkids with their projects, volunteers building houses at Habitat for Humanity, builds sets at a community theater, and loves to golf in his league in Dayton. Mark is a graduate of Thomas More College and retired from a 45-year career in public transportation in 2021 and lives in quiet, rural northern Kentucky. He's very happy his last baby is getting married, and he and Brooke have had an easy time becoming closer since day one. We don't know what we'd do without you!
Mother of the Groom
Dora was a force when she was here. She, Jim, and Shawn were all graduates of Northern Kentucky University. Dora was also a sports lover, like her husband and kids. She worked in the community at the bank and as a middle school teacher for Boone County Schools. She lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in August of 2021 but has never left the hearts of her family. Her 3 kids, 5 grandkids, and her husband miss her every day. Although she won't be with us on the wedding day, we know she will be watching down on her youngest son and his bride with love. We are going to be sure she's included during everything leading up to and in the wedding. We hope we make her proud.
