Lucca City Center
Lucca City Center is a magical place in Tuscany. It's a medieval-walled city that doesn't allow cars, so it's especially enjoyable to walk the narrow streets. A great option for 2-3 nights, or a base for Tuscany adventures including the wedding venue.
Tenuta di Valgiano
This winery is a short walk from the villa. They make award-winning organic red and white wines. We plan to coordinate a wine tasting trip with any guests who would like to participate. We will update you with more details soon.
Vinni Liquori Vanni
For wine and history lovers, this centuries old wine cellar is filled with over 55 thousand (yes, thousand) wines from around Italy and the world.
Guinigi Tower
Climb to the top to see a beautiful view of the city.
Bike Rental Poli
There are several bike rental shops in the area, so don't feel as though you must come here, but we do highly recommend renting bikes one day and riding along the city walls and outside to the nearby parks and river. There are several lunch spots and bars along the wall as well.
Neighboring Cities
Lucca is a small province perfectly located between several major iconic cities. PISA, FLORENCE, & CINQUE TERRE are all possible day trips from this area. While we hope everyone will stay nearby for the wedding festivities, please use this as an opportunity to explore even more of Italy's diverse culture, if you choose
