The wedding will take place on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at Monserate Winery! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all steps away from each other. More details can be found in the schedule section, or on the ‘Tuscan Estate’ section of Monserate’s website! We recommend to get to Monserate at 3:00 pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm, so we recommend you arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before the official start time so you can get settled, enjoy refreshments, and music before the proceedings.
We've only sent out Save the Dates so far, so once you receive the invite there will be a QR code on the invitation. This will link directly to the RSVP portion of the website, where you can submit your RSVP. Please RSVP by Friday, September 26th, 2025.
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are named on the official invitation (not on Save the Dates).
Short and sweet, our guidance is to wear black tie optional or formal attire. If you want any inspiration, we would love to encourage bright colors on such a happy day! Think spring or summer colors, or a garden party. For more guidance if you like... get fancy with us!! The groom and groomsmen will be wearing tuxes, so whether you want to show out and match or wear a suit, totally up to you. If a dress is more your thing, a longer dress would be a great choice. The bride and bridesmaids will be wearing floor-length dresses.
Your little ones are adorable, but they sometimes come with little distractions! We kindly ask that only children specifically named on the invitation attend, and that they skip the ceremony if possible - so we can all stay focused on the "I dos!" Monserate is 21+, so all children need to be supervised per the winery's policy. Please reach out to John & Jill to discuss if you're unsure, and we'll figure out what works for all of us :)
There is free parking onsite! As you turn in, there will be a big stone sign that says 'Monserate,' with two open gates.
If you’d like to be close to the rehearsal dinner and the beach (and closer to San Diego for other excursions), we recommend most everyone stays in the hotel block in Oceanside, or one of the recommended listed in the 'Travel' section.
Yes! There will be drinks served during cocktail hour and dinner, and an open bar during the reception. The wine served will be Monserate's own! We want you to have the best time - the drinks are on us, but the hangovers are on you! BUT we'll have a selection of awesome mocktails, soft drinks, and sparkling cider as an option for toasting! Please plan accordingly to ensure you make it home safely after the reception. We are working on a shuttle back to the hotel block after the reception.
San Diego is pretty mild in November, averaging in the mid-60's to low-70's. The ceremony and dinner will be outside.
We ask that you kindly put away your phones and cameras during the ceremony, as we want you all to be present with us in the moment!! We have a professional photographer and videographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like, and be sure to share some with us!
We are doing an exchange of last names! John has arguably the cooler last name, so Jill will be taking the last name 'Casabonne.' Fun fact, Casabonne means 'good home' in Basque (Basque country is the region between France and Spain!) However, in order to have the same last name but still do an exchange, both John and Jill will be adding 'Noonan' as a second middle name.
Please reach out to John and/or Jill! The best way to reach us both is to email JillAndJohnGetMarried@gmail.com.
