Like many couples in recent years, we met on an online dating app (Hinge). We spent our first date walking around the Museum of Science talking for hours followed by drinks at Stoddard's downtown (RIP). We didn't seem to want the date to end, so Hans invited me over to watch what ultimately turned out to be Tom Brady's last game with the Patriots. The fact that he asked me for a second date despite having suspicions I could be the jinx to the Patriots dynasty says something... We spent the next few months seeing comedy shows, going to concerts and taking weekend trips around New England. And then....Covid happened. What followed was a year of social distancing going on hikes, doing puzzles and cooking in each other's respective kitchens. I was so excited to find someone who liked to cook as much as I do, and Hans was relieved to have someone to help him with cleanup duty. We moved to Charlestown into an apartment that we love that happens to look out directly at the Museum of Science, where our story first started. I wrote in my profile that I was looking for the best burger in Boston, and imagine my surprise that Hans actually makes that burger, and has for years. We have a monthly burger night tradition, so it was only fitting that Hans proposed to me in our apartment, during burger night, with the lit up Museum of Science in the backdrop. Since lockdowns eased, we've been lucky enough to travel to Italy and Iceland, as well as all around New England. We've also thankfully gotten to spend more time with each other's friends and family. We are most looking forward to the aspect of celebrating with every single person we love, since we haven't had the opportunity to throughout the course of our relationship. As Hans is from Vermont and we've made so many memories in the state, we couldn't think of a more perfect backdrop to get married. We are so excited to share this special place with all of you!
