We would love it if everyone stayed on site at the Trailside Inn or near the Inn at an Airbnb or hotel. The Trailside Inn is not a traditional inn. It is a rustic Vermont lodge that has a unique charm without TVs in the rooms. The goal of this setup is to encourage our guests to enjoy time together outside, or in any of the great gathering spaces. Our vision for our wedding was a weekend where we would get to spend time with everyone all together. Per the hotel policy, non hotel guests are required to leave the property each evening at 10pm.
Please see the wedding weekend schedule. We are planning on a Friday night welcome gathering in lieu of a rehearsal dinner. In addition, there will be a light brunch on Sunday morning.
Did you use our promo code "Aug21"? The hotel is closed for all reservations during our wedding weekend, except for our guests. Please note, the hotel has a 2 day minimum for their reservations. There are also a few rooms that have two queen beds or extra twin beds in them. If you have a friend or family member that you’re willing to share a room with- we would love you to bunk up so as many people can stay at the Inn as possible! If you’re coming solo- you can save money by checking out the single occupancy room options. If there are no rooms with the setup you’re looking for- check out the travel section for other lodging options.
Your invitation will indicate all invited guests. We love your kids, but we would love to give you a night/weekend off to spend with us! We understand the difficulties of finding child care, however we are limiting children to close family members. If the only way you can come is to bring your kiddos, please reach out to us before you RSVP no!
Vermont has so much to offer and we hope that our guests will enjoy some of the wonderful things that we love about this state. Please check out the Things to Do tab and the activities page on the Trailside website for some great suggestions of things to do in the area. Whether you're interested in checking out the beautiful scenery, enjoying some craft beer, getting in a few rounds of golf, or taking advantage of the local stores and markets, you won't be disappointed! Ann and Josh, the amazing inn owners, have great suggestions for things to do in the area too! You will likely see them at the front desk or in the great room. If you need suggestions - ask them!
We are accounting for our gluten free and vegetarian family and friends in our planning. If you have any additional dietary restrictions, please let us know.
You are welcome to bring your favorite drink for the welcome party. Due to Vermont Liquor laws, all alcohol drinks during cocktail hour and the reception must be served by our caterer.
Ladies - most of the events will be on grass, so feel free to dress in comfortable, grass-friendly shoes (flats or wedges). Please note temperatures tend to dip at night, and since the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside you might want to bring a jacket or wrap.
