Our wedding will take place at Schloss Horneck (Castle Horneck), a beautifully restored historical castle overlooking the Neckar River in the charming town of Gundelsheim. This venue, dating back to around 1200, combines modern comfort with historical elegance. All wedding events, including the main ceremony, reception, dinner, dancing party, and next-day breakfast, will take place within the castle’s elegant spaces. For your convenience, we’ve reserved a limited number of rooms at the castle for about $125 (120 EUR) per night. We’ll handle all communication with the hotel, so if you’d like to stay on-site, simply let us know, and we’ll take care of the reservation for you. You can learn more about the venue here: schlosshotel-horneck.de
Our ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. on May 2, 2025. We’d be delighted to welcome you up to 30 minutes early so that we can all enjoy a smooth and timely start to the celebration.
Yes, please join us in formal attire. You’ll also find a curated color palette in the 'Dress Code' section on our website. This palette will help create stunning visuals for our wedding photos, and we’d love for everyone to be part of this beautiful harmony.
Yes, free parking is available. All events on the wedding day will be hosted in Schloss Horneck (Castle Horneck), and you have two options: 1. At the castle: Drive through the castle entrance and follow the parking signs to the designated parking lot. There is only one way to drive after entering the castle, so navigation should be straightforward. 2. Nearby parking lot: Located about a 3-minute walk from the castle, close to the forest near the swimming pool (Städt. Freibad). Absolutely! We want to make sure all food allergies are taken care of. During the RSVP process, please let us know about any dietary restrictions or special requests for the wedding dinner.
Yes! At 2:00 p.m., we will hold a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. This tradition symbolizes respect, gratitude, and the union of two families. During the ceremony, the new couple serves tea to their parents, receiving blessings and well wishes in return. A significant moment in the ceremony is when the couple addresses their in-law parents as “Mum” and “Dad” for the first time, marking their formal welcome into each other’s families. While the ceremony is primarily for the couple and their parents, guests who check in early and are interested in witnessing or supporting during the event are more than welcome to join. It’s a heartfelt and special moment!
