Boone is about a 25-30 minute drive from our venue Sky Retreat and one of the larger mountain towns in the area. There are many hotels here to book your stay! October is the most poplar month for leaf peeping, so please consider booking your stay as soon as possible.

Located in Boone, only 25-30min from Sky Retreat.

Shuttle

High Country Transportation

October 17, 2026 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm

A shuttle will be running from the hotel blocks to the venue to transport you to and from our wedding celebration! Arriving at the Courtyard Marriott and Rhodes Motor Lodge at 4pm and departing at 4:30pm for the venue. The shuttle will also make a stop for guests staying at Park Vista Motor Lodge. A shuttle schedule will be posted closer to the date of the wedding.

Travel Note

AppalCART

Rideshare services are limited in the mountains, to get around Boone we recommend utilizing their public transit system the AppalCART. There is also lot and street parking available around Boone, keep in mind parking can be difficult to find during peak season.

This is a newly renovated lodge within a 10 minute drive to the venue! They do tend to book out far in advance though. This will be a more affordable option since the location is a little more remote and about 25 minutes from Boone, we stayed here a year out from our wedding date and loved it!
