Question

Where should I stay for the wedding weekend?

Answer

We thank you wholeheartedly for traveling to celebrate with us! We will be having a hotel block at the Courtyard Marriott and Rhodes Motor Lodge in Boone, NC. Boone is about a 25-30 minute drive to our venue and we will be providing a shuttle from the hotels for the day of the wedding. We also recommend checking out the travel tab for a list of cabin rentals and AirBnbs if you're looking for the full mountain experience! We do recommend booking your stay as early as you can, as it is peak tourist season and Boone, NC is home to Appalachian State University.

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

Yes! We will have two, 32 passenger buses arriving at the hotel blocks at 4pm and departing for the venue at 4:30pm. The bus will also stop for guest pickup at Park Vista Motor Lodge. There will be an early bird bus heading back to the hotel blocks around 9/930pm. The last bus will depart at the end of the wedding at 11:45pm. Please check back for a full shuttle schedule closer to the date of the wedding.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is Black Tie Optional. We encourage guests to wear fun, funky, vibrant, bold colors or patterns! (Go crazy think sequins, ruffles, feathers). Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, the weekend events are adult only. Enjoy the weekend away and come ready to party!

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We are limiting plus-ones by invitation only due to our venue's capacity. We will not be able to accommodate any uninvited guests and ask that you bring a plus-one only if listed on your invitation. Thank you.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be beer and wine available during the welcome party Friday night and an open bar for the reception Saturday! We want you to have the best time, so the drinks are on us (but the hangover is on you!)

Where do I park?

Answer

There will be parking on site at our venue, there will be parking attendants guiding you to the parking area if you are not taking the provided shuttle. Please keep in mind our venue is a little remote and tucked away in the mountains, please plan for winding mountain roads.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Western North Carolina is gorgeous during the peak fall season! Expect temperatures in the mid to high 60s during the day and chillier nights in the 40-50s. We always recommend packing layers!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our evening ceremony will be outdoors overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Cocktail hour will be on a covered veranda outdoors as well. Our wedding reception will be indoors.
