We both felt the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina along with our families and many of our friends. We were very lucky to escape Hurricane Ida unscathed except for some forced time apart because of Joe's job. However, our community was not so lucky. The Bayou and River Parishes of south Louisiana desperately need help and will need help for months to come. Please consider donating to Hurricane Ida relief as your wedding gift to us. We have said we do not need any more stuff, but this is particularly true when you consider the needs of those we are looking at having to rebuild their entire lives. This is our chance to give back to them the way that others gave to us 16 years ago.

Charity that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes for post-9/11 veterans who were injured while serving.

One of several amazing pet rescues in New Orleans and it's where we rescued Fiddley from. They save dogs from all over Louisiana from kill shelters, abusive situations, and the streets.
