As Hawaii is a very popular travel destination for the summer months, we highly recommend you to apply for your US visa (if needed) and book your ticket now as fares will become more expensive over the next couple months.

Things To Do

What we love most about Oahu is that the island has a bit of everything to offer. No matter what type of traveler you are and what your ideal vacation is, you will find yourself having a great time on the island. Here are some of our favorite spots and activities on the island. If for some reason, you don’t find anything you need from this list, don’t hesitate to reach out! We are happy to act as your personal tour guide :) Other travel blogs that might give you more ideas: https://www.bemytravelmuse.com/things-to-do-in-oahu/ https://wanderingwheatleys.com/insider-secrets-travel-like-a-local-on-oahu/ https://hellojetlag.com/things-to-do-in-oahu/

Tonkatsu Tamafuji

449 Kapahulu Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815
, (808) 922-1212

the pork katsu is to die for. This is very popular spot so you might want to call 2 weeks before your trip to make a reservation lol

Ginza Bairin Tonkatsu & Yoshoku Bistro

255 Beach Walk, Honolulu, HI 96815
, (808) 926-8082

also very famous for their katsu. A very solid alternative if you can’t get a spot at Tonkatsu Tamafuji.

Marukame Udon Waikiki

2310 Kūhiō Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815
, (808) 931-6000

their udons are very fresh and flavorful. Extremely affordable but the line can be quite long. You might want to order from Doordash for pickup / delivery to skip the line lol :)

Michel's at the Colony Surf

2895 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815
, (808) 923-6552

very romantic upscale restaurant for your date night. The view of the Oahu skyline is jaw dropping so make sure to request a table by the window.

Best Beaches

Calm Beach with Clear Water (suitable for children and non swimmers like myself): Kaimana Beach, Kahanamoku Beach (inside Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort), Waikiki Beach, Lanikai High waves for Surfing enthusiasts: (please take this recommendation with a grain of salt since both of us are not great surfers lol) North Shore, Waimea Bay Best beaches for snorkeling: Hanauma Bay (need to make reservation in advance)

Top Sight Seeing Spots

Oahu is full of Instagramable spots but here are a few of our favorites: Diamond Head Pearl Harbor Kuola Ranch Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden Tantalus Lookout Makapu’u Lookout Nu’uanu Pali Lookout Byodo-In Temple Polynesian Cultural Center Luau
