We went to the same high school in Vietnam but for the entire 3 years, our paths never crossed. Steven was too busy with his Olympiad programming schedule (aka. playing video games) while I was spending most of my free time hanging out with my 'not-so-nerdy' friends :). Luckily, fate always finds its own way of connecting the dots. For us, that meant crossing half the globe to find each other. On September 2012, we bought our one-way tickets heading to that small college town in Amherst, Massachusetts where we met each other for the first time. And the rest is history.

A month before I started my full-time job at Bank of America, we decided to take a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii for the first time to enjoy the little free time we had before my dark investment banking days. On a beautiful afternoon, we were holding hands, peacefully watching the sun descending upon the horizon of glistening Hawaii waters. When I finished jamming my last ukulele chords of "The photograph", I looked up and Steven was down on his knees. Hawaii was the place where we decided to tie the knot and we can't wait to celebrate our love story with you here on this magical island!
