Where we first met! Perfect for lunch or drinks during the day and at night turns into Charleston's most fun club, with several levels including a rooftop bar.
This is where we went on our first date! Felix is a French restaurant in the heart of downtown Charleston, and right down the street from Uptown Social.
King Street is the heart of downtown Charleston- lined with historic buildings, boutique shopping, and great restaurants and bars. Our church is located right off of King Street, so on Saturday after the ceremony it would be the perfect place to walk, shop, grab a cocktail, or just soak up Charleston's Southern charm before heading to the reception.
Another Charleston classic- and actually is the cities oldest continuously operating restaurant (since 1932)! We have spent many nights here with our friends. There are several levels, each with a different vibe, including a restaurant with Lowcountry favorites on the first floor, a whiskey lounge and music hall on the second floor, and a rooftop bar on the top level.
A four-block long strip in downtown Charleston filled with local vendors selling jewelry, keepsakes, and regional treats. Located right across from Henry's on the Market!
The Battery- and Rainbow Row located about a block away- are two of Charleston's most iconic spots - perfect for a scenic stroll. The Battery is named for the artillery batteries, present during the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, to defend the city of Charleston. Rainbow Row is a block of colorful homes that date back to the 1730's. We love to take our dog Olive on a walk around the Battery!
Tommy gives great tours of the City of Charleston and is super knowledgable about the vast history of the region. We always take our out of town visitors on a tour! 2 hour tour, 10 blocks Adult : $40 Child : $25
There are several restaurants and bars right on the water, if you look close you will probably see a few dolphins! Shem is in Mount Pleasant about 15 minutes from downtown.
