Cuernavaca sits at a higher elevation than many travelers are used to (about 5,000 feet above sea level). While it's not extreme, some guests may feel mild effects like shortness of breath, fatigue, or dehydration — especially if you're coming from sea level. Tips to Stay Comfortable: Drink plenty of water before and during your trip Wear sunscreen — the sun is stronger at higher altitudes Pack medication if needed Don’t overexert yourself on arrival
No, all events will take place at the Hacienda in the town of Morelos. Morelos is a semi-rural suburb of Mexico City, and unfortunately, there are no comparable hotel options in the immediate vicinity.
Our invitation list is limited, so please refer to your invitation for details on whether a plus-one is included. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.
Each event will take place in a different area of the Hacienda. Locations will be included on the invitations, and our planners will have a QR code for you to scan during the weekend for easy access to all event details.
Most U.S. cellphones work just fine. especially if you have an international plan or your carrier includes Mexico in your coverage (like T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T often do). We recommend checking with your provider before the trip to confirm coverage and avoid any surprise charges. In general, if your phone works in the U.S., it should work similarly in Mexico City!
When you check in, you should open a VOUCHER with your credit card. We recommend doing 5,000 pesos per person. This will be a hold on your credit card, not a charge that is processed. This gives you the convenience of charging items directly to your room during your stay. When you purchase food and drink, your waiter will bring you the bill to sign, add your room number and write in your tip amount. When you check out, you will receive an itemized bill that reflects all the items that were billed to your room. At check out, the total cost of your bill be charged to your credit card.

No, one of the main reasons we selected this location is for its authentic Mexican experience. While our planner will speak English and assist with events, it's essential to know some basics for communicating with the rest of the staff.
We recommend avoiding heels, as the grounds of the Hacienda are primarily cobblestone and grassy, making them uneven.
In September, Mexico City enjoys mild temperatures ranging from 55°F to 75°F (13°C to 24°C). While it’s part of the rainy season, showers usually come in the afternoons. We recommend bringing a light jacket and an umbrella for the occasional rain.
- bug spray - nasal lubricant (higher altitude & dryer air causes some noses to be dry) - sunscreen - swimming suit. The pool is beautiful you won’t want to miss out - cash for tips to the hotel staff/bartenders - travel steamer for clothes if you have it
We recommend a tip of $2.50 (50 pesos) for the bellhop who assists with your bags and $5 (100 pesos) per day for the housekeeper in a double room. In restaurants and bars, a gratuity of 10% is appreciated. If you’re using a credit card for payment, please let your waiter know to add the tip before they process your transaction.
- Coffee - Refrigerator - Microwave - Iron or ironing board
