PLEASE DO NOT WEAR BLACK. We would appreciate everyone attending our special day to show up in formal attire. Again, please do not wear black. Not like you would want to during a dry, hot Alberta summer day anyway. But, hey! This is the one wedding you can wear white to! Since our venue is outdoors we recommend wearing flat shoes or a chunky heel to avoid getting your feet stuck in the grass.
Address: 281121 Range Rd 30, Rocky View County, AB T0M 0S0 All of our wedding events will be hosted at the Turner Family Farm, a rural property approx. 30 mins. outside of Calgary. We have provided a map and directions on our 'Venue Location Details' page for your convenience.
This private, rural location does not have Uber or Taxi services available. Transportation will not be provided. We encourage all of our guests to coordinate their own modes of transportation to and from the venue location. To get to the venue, we strongly suggest that guests drive their own vehicles and setup carpooling arrangements. Should you plan on having a cheeky cold one (or 6), please do not drink and drive. We encourage you to set up DDs that can pick you up safely from the venue. Here's a good opportunity to cash-in a favour from a loved one that owes you one. Please contact us directly for any questions or concerns you may have.
In this economy?! We're providing the flexible option of a TOONIE BAR for our wedding. PLEASE ensure that you BRING CASH to purchase drinks. Unfortunately, the option of a payment machine is not reliable out on the rural venue property. So again, BRING CASH to wet your whistle.
As much as we love our next generation of youth, minors will not be able to attend our wedding. We're curating a fun, lively night that's worth getting a sitter for.
We lovingly ask that guest attendance is reserved for people we personally know to preserve intimate good vibes. Chances are we've gathered your +1's contact information from you and have sent them their own RSVP. We thank you in advance for respecting our wishes regarding plus ones.
The day of point of contact is TBD. Prior to the day of please feel free to get in touch with us directly via text or phone call. Jess' number is 403-370-8080. Nadia's phone number is 403-850-2483.
Since the location of our venue is private and family owned, we are excited to give you the option of camping out in a Trailer, RV, or Tent! #TurnerIntoRoss #WeddingFestival For those travelling to Alberta that want to stay the night or those just wanting to camp out, check out the Travel & Accommodations page for local Camper/Trailer rentals you can choose from. Camping not your thing? That's okay! Please view our Travel & Accommodations page for hotels in Airdrie and near the Calgary Airport. Ensure that you have a reliable DD to get you there safely. You can view the property and layout of the venue on our Venue Location Details page.
The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM sharp. If you have ADHD, the ceremony starts at 3:30 PM. We ask that everyone who is planning on camping out in a Trailer, RV, or Tent arrives on the Wednesday-Friday prior to the wedding to set up their accommodations and leave afterwards. The designated areas for campers will not be available day of.
Completely fair question. Don't worry, you don't have to pop a squat in a field. We will be setting up an aesthetic outdoor bathroom area with multiple porta potties and sinks to use.
Typically, August in Alberta is sunny, dry and hot. Temperatures can range anywhere between 25 to 35 degrees celcius. We recommend wearing light, loose formal clothing that's breathable.
We will have reserved signs for the parents, immediate family members, and immediate friends of the brides in the front row of the ceremony. Other than that, it's open seating for the ceremony. Don't pick sides because you're celebrating both brides!
We will be having an "unplugged" ceremony-- meaning, we kindly ask that you DO NOT take photos during the ceremony. We've spent a lot of money on two wonderful, professional photographers who will capture this special moment for you.
Beside your worst enemy on the guest list. HAHA just kidding. There will be a seating chart that carefully ensures you'll vibe with your table buddies. Name tags will be on the tables.
All our wedding events will be hosted in the same location. We kindly ask that guests carry their chair to the reception tent after the ceremony before enjoying the cocktail hour.
Fair question. Again, we're two working girls who are still finalizing our wedding timeline. There will be snacks during cocktail hour, following the ceremony between 4:30PM-5:30PM. Dinner will be served between 6:30PM-7:30PM and a dessert bar will be available after dinner. Hope that's enough to help your hanger.
Nothing says outdoor backyard wedding like a big family BBQ! For dinner, we are offering selection of: BBQ pulled , pork, chicken, and beef sandwiches, roasted vegetables, roasted garlic potatoes, a baked potato bar, and a caesar salad. Veggie burgers are available to our vegetarian friends. Staying late? Midnight snacks will be available!
Is Chappel Roan a lesbian? YES! Our toonie bar and bartenders will be sure to keep you hydrated with a selection of locally crafted, on-tap beers and cider. For highballs we will have the following liquor selection: - Tequila (Silver) - Vodka - Gin - White Rum - Whiskey For actual hydration, we will have water stations and plenty of non-alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy.
Our reception will officially-unofficially "end" at 2:00 am. Just because the DJ booth will be shutdown at that time that doesn't mean the party is over (if you know, you know). We're not going to hold you hostage. We strongly ask that anyone leaving after dinner and the reception does not drink and drive. Please ensure you have a safe ride home or stay the night.
Cash contributions will be put towards our honeymoon and a first-time-homebuyers savings account! We're too good at interior decorating to keep renting. While we would prefer cash gifts, we will 100% appreciate the thoughtfulness of getting us a gift-- therefore we will be setting up a registry for your convenience. Please know that getting us a gift or providing a financial contribution towards our future is not mandatory. We understand that each person's circumstances are different and private. We're just SO excited to enjoy time with all of our favourite people in one spot!!
We're still deciding on what format to share all our wedding photos and how we will distribute this format to you after the wedding. Please hang tight!
This is another format we're still deciding on. Options may include, but are not limited to: - The hashtag #TurnerIntoRoss - A QR Code that connects to a private image sharing platform- provided day of - A shared Google Drive- details provided day of - Nadia harassing you over text to send all the photos you took to her so she can share them
