Nadia & Jess met with a mixture of modern online dating and the traditional classic of a mutual friend. At the beginning, they both swiped right on Tinder and exchanged numbers. Nadia asked Jess out on a date but fumbled the bag when she bailed before they were supposed to meet up. The bailing timeline that Nadia gave Jess is still an ongoing debate between the two of them. Nadia was nervous, okay?! Even so, Jess was in her right to stop talking to Nadia and Nadia understood that was a consequence of her actions. In the days following, Nadia ran into her friend, Megan, at a party, who also happened to be one of Jess's long-time friends and former roommates. She asked Nadia why she stood Jess up. You might be thinking that Meg told Nadia "You snooze, you lose! How could you do that?" Instead, Meg told Nadia that they would be "such a good match for each other" and to give it another try! Meg told Nadia everything the two had in common, what type of person Jess was, and what would win her brownie points on a 'make-up-for-it' date. This insider knowledge and reassurance was what Nadia needed to ask Jess out on another date; where she SWORE that she would show up. FINALLY, Jess and Nadia went on their first date. The two met up at a popular local brewery on a +35 degree day. Before Jess sat down and could order a drink Nadia started word vomiting everything Meg told her about Jess. When Nadia realized she was word-vomiting everything she knew about Jess and then she proceeded to make an unhinged joke about Jess's dating history. Now, keep in mind... Jess didn't know anything about Nadia- except for what was shared during their talking stage. So, safe to say, Nadia 100% came across as a crazy person and any other person might have snuck out the back. But Jess thought Nadia's craziness was infectious, and captivating. It's fair to say this was the most entertaining date Jess had been on in a while. So, instead of running, Jess stayed. From that point on the two of them were inseparable and hung out nearly every day since. The rest is history that paved the way for their future together. Every day since that first date is what led to Jess and Nadia being parents to a crazy cat, moving-in together, adopting a puppy, becoming music festival connoisseurs, proposing to each other, and now... getting GETTING MARRIED!!
