THANK YOU

From the Jones'

We cannot thank you all enough who joined us in person and via online to celebrate our marriage. We hope everyone enjoyed the live stream, even with some special guest appearances from , apparently new, Zoom users ;) As with anything with technology, there is always some sort of glitch. Unfortunately, our Zoom did not record as it was set up to do. We are requesting any videos (or photos) that people have from the live stream, or if you attended in person! Please send any videos or photos to jrjones7@gmail.com We want to try to compile what others may have captured to put together a wedding video since the original is lost. Any wedding photos that you have, feel free to post on instagram with our hashtag #jonesinforlove613 Thank you again for all your love and support! The day would have not been the same without each and every one of you from texts, to calls, facetime, live stream and in person <3

UPDATE 5.16.20

The wedding is ON

After great consideration, we have decided that the wedding will move forward as planned, while implementing changes to accommodate for social distancing. While we are very excited to be able to host our wedding, we feel a great loss for the many that will not be able to join us on our special day due to the pandemic. We are hopeful to have the ceremony available on live-stream for those that are not able to attend (another alert will be sent with this info). We request your updated RSVP by May 23rd (and understand it may change last minute!). Not only do we want to ensure that we have enough food and beverages for our guests but we also need to know how to setup the venue to safely accommodate our guests. The following measures will be implemented to help keep our celebration a joyous and SAFE event: Individual hand sanitizers will be provided. If you have your own, please bring it as we know the supply is hard to find these days. We request that if you have not been able to practice social distancing, please wear a mask at our wedding. A HUGE thank you to Brittany Dunn who will be sewing masks for guests (based on RSVP there may be a limited supply- please bring your own if you have one). We will be changing up our appetizers to reduce contact surfaces. They will be all individually packaged snacks. They will not be fancy but they will taste good with beer and wine. We are still serving pizza and will have our servers wear gloves and a mask to serve guests. This will be a slower process and we ask for your patience. We ask that you do your part to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus by limiting contact with others such as handshakes and hugs (I know, this part is hard). Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to offer babysitting due concerns of COVID, although the event will remain adults only. If you are SICK (fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, muscle pains), please STAY HOME and enjoy the ceremony via live stream.

UPDATE 4.26.20

WE ARE UNSURE

UPDATE 4.26.20 Right now we have not made a final decision regarding our wedding date. We are still hopeful to have the wedding in some form or fashion. We will have a definitive decision by mid to end of May. We recognize this can make travel plans hard but we want to make the best decision for us and our guests based on the most current COVID information available. We request your RSVP and recognize it may change as the COVID situation continues to evolve. Please feel free to reach out directly to Justin (864-423-9827) or I (864-404-8960) with any questions or concerns! Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate this unprecedented time.

Welcome!

Welcome to our wedding website! In an effort to reduce our environmental impact and to continually provide you the most up to date information, we have decided to keep everything online. Explore our website to find all wedding details and to RSVP (now live). You will also find travel recommendations, fun things to do, and pictures that share our story together. Please do not hesitate to call Justin or myself with any questions or concerns!

That day at the dog park...

October 7, 2011

On a Friday afternoon, when most others would be at work, Jessica and Justin both found themselves at the Cleveland Park Dog Park. A special thanks to Becca who had to cancel plans with Jessica to go to Atlanta that weekend which is what landed her at the dog park that day. First, noticing that the dogs had the same collar, meaning they were both Greenville Humane Society rescues, then the dogs start playing (really, Lexi just chased Gunner around), Justin and Jessica starting talking (I'm really not sure who started the conversation). After talking for almost 3 hours, Justin asked Jessica to go to the Children's Museum Adult Night with his friends. After a mishap in the exchange of phone numbers, the museum date didn't work out but thankfully Justin texted Jessica again and their first date was the very next day.... and the rest is history!

The Proposal

And the snapchat snafu

We were planning a big weekend at the Cooper River Bridge Run. Jessica's Dad and sister Kristina and Nolan were already planning to attend to run the 10K. The weekend was 2 fold (so Jessica thought). Jessica had decided on a veterinary school just days before and was planning to make a big announcement to the family. Jessica was also gunning for a PR on a race that has been near and dear to her heart. Things are going according to plan when the infamous snap chat was sent... while waiting in line to take pictures at the CRBR expo, Jessica gets a picture of her mom in Charleston. Why would she be here? Is she that eager to hear about the vet school choice? The race adrenaline and good company occupied Jessica's mind up until the start of the race. Jessica finishes the race, crushing her PR, and celebrates with Nolan at the finish line. How could life be better? Justin was set out to prove that it indeed could be. After everyone finishes, Justin guides the group across a busy crowd to an opening in the park. From the mists of the crowd appears Jessica's mom (oh ya, she is in SC!), and all of Justin's family (clearly, Justin deserves major kudos for the planning). Before Jessica could process what was going on, Justin got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Tears of joy and champagne were shared by all. The celebration continued in downtown Charleston with family and friends. It soon became a small portion of the weekend but it was also the day the family learned of our destined residence to Starkville, Mississippi!
