A Important Note on Travel & Accommodations

Our wedding falls on the same weekend as the Newport International Boat Show, one of the city’s largest annual events. Because this brings many visitors to the area, we highly recommend booking your accommodations as early as possible to ensure the best availability and rates. To make things easier, we have a room block at the Holiday Inn Express in Middletown. This location offers a more affordable rate and is conveniently situated away from the detours and hustle and bustle of downtown. Please see our "Travel" page for information. Please plan for extra travel time. Traffic over the bridges and throughout downtown (especially near Thames Street and Bowen’s Wharf) will be heavier than usual. We want to make sure you don't miss a moment of the celebration, so please leave a generous buffer when heading to the venue!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that all RSVPs, both acceptances and regrets, be submitted by May 30th, 2027. This will allow us to coordinate with our vendors. Thank you!

Can I Bring a Plus-One?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we kindly ask that only the guests formally listed on your invitation attend. If you have been given a plus-one, their name will be indicated on your invitation and on our RSVP link. Thank you!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Ochre Court is a Gilded Age Mansion, and we invite you to use this as an opportunity to dress up with us! The dress code is Black-tie optional/Formal. For men, suits or tuxedos are recommended. For women, we recommend formal, floor-length dresses. To embrace the upcoming Fall season, we welcome warm autumn colors! Cocktail hour will take place on the lawn of Ochre Court, and we recommend block-style heels. The reception will take place indoors, inside of Ochre Court's grand ballroom. **Please note, the Bridesmaids will be wearing either mauve or a berry color.

What time should I arrive?

While our Wedding mass begins at 4pm at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, we kindly ask that all guests be seated inside the Chapel by 3:45pm.

Are Children Invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event. Thank you for understanding!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Guests may park on either side of Ochre Point Avenue directly outside of Our Lady of Mercy Chapel. There is also parking located to the left of the Chapel or to the left of Ochre Court. Guests may also park in any of the large parking lots on the campus of Salve Regina University (Rodgers Recreation Center is just a 3 minute walk from the Chapel. Please be mindful to avoid parking in spots designated for Safety and Security officers). The Office of Safety and Security at Salve Regina will be alerted that a Wedding is taking place, and you will not receive a ticket.

Is there a room block?

Yes! There is a room block at the Holiday Inn Express Newport North - Middletown. This is located approximately 15 minutes from Our Lady of Mercy Chapel. Please see the "Accommodations" page on our Website for more information. If you prefer to stay elsewhere, we have also listed several alternative lodging options on our travel page to help you find the perfect spot.

Is there a shuttle?

Answer

Designated transportation has been reserved solely for the wedding party to accommodate their timeline. All other guests are respectfully requested to coordinate their own travel to and from the venue. Ample parking is available on-site, and rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area. Please plan your travel and carpooling accordingly so you can celebrate safely!
