The Wedding Website of Jesse Applehans and Hogan Danneberg
Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

Semi-formal - Cocktail-type dresses for women and suits or sport coats for men. Feel free to add boots or mountain/western details to suit the Colorado mountain vibe! Consider bringing a jacket for potentially cooler temperatures in the evening. Avoid pointy heels as we will be on grass for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Question

What is the attire for welcome drinks?

Answer

Mountain / Dressy Casual. This is a casual event, wear what you want! Jeans are fine :)

Question

Can I drive to and park at the venue?

Answer

Yes, guests can drive themselves to the wedding if preferred. The venue is about 35-40 minutes from the Steamboat Resort and the last 15 minutes or so is on a dirt road. Parking: There is parking at the venue, but you can not leave your car there overnight if you do drive there. When you arrive at the venue, drive past the ceremony site, down to the reception tent and park behind the shipping containers there. The venue has shuttles you can take back up to the ceremony site, or you can walk. If you prefer to park at the ceremony site, park behind the shipping containers there and please move your car down behind the reception tent after the ceremony.

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue if I'm driving?

Answer

If you are driving yourself to the venue, follow these instructions closely! Type in ‘Lucky 8 Ranch Events Venue’ into Google Maps (not Apple Maps). This will get you to the bottom of a long dirt road that takes you to the venue (you'll drive about 10 minutes further on the dirt road). There will be signs along the dirt road to guide you in the right direction after reaching the google maps pin. You’ll go up a big hill then have a few switch backs that take you down to the venue. You’ll see a white tent in the distance from the top of the hill, that’s the venue!

Answer

BUS PICK-UP & DROP-OFF LOCATION: Gondola Transit Center (2305 Mt Werner Cir #2291, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487) BUS INFORMATION: Three white school buses with a big pink and blue logo that says "Bustache”. Answer

Question

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside. The dinner and reception will be in a tent, with the option to go outside on the lawn. We recommend bringing a jacket in case it cools down at night.

Question

Where is the wedding party staying?

Answer

Hogan and Jesse will be staying at the Steamboat Grand Hotel, but encourage guests to book whichever nearby option you prefer. Check out our suggestions on the Travel & Accommodations page.

Question

Will we be able to walk to anything from our hotel?

Answer

Yes! Check out our Things to Do page for recommendations. If you are staying near the Steamboat Resort, there are lots of restaurants, cafes, shops, bars, and things to do within walking distance. If you are staying downtown, you can walk around there as well, but will need to drive to the wedding events.

Question

Will Welcome Drinks be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Weather permitting, the Welcome Drinks event on Friday night will be outside. We primarily will be on the deck of a hotel bar, but guests can go in and out as they please. The deck has some firepits and is partially covered with heaters, but bring a jacket in case it gets cool.
