Accommodations
While attending our wedding, Lake Como has a tremendous amount of hotels and villas to enjoy. Unfortunately, two of the main hotels in the town are closed for the 2025 season. We have listed 4 other hotels that we recommend that are in close proximity to the venue. While guests can certainly stay wherever they would like, we will have transportation consolidated to pickup points at the hotels below. If you are staying elsewhere, you would need to coordinate your own transportation to events, or get yourself to the pickup points. Airbnb's are also plentiful in the area. WARNING: Taxi/car service at Lake Como can be a challenge, particularly during peak season. While Uber technically exists, cars are frequently "not available." We would caution guests from staying too far off the beaten path as transportation to and from will inevitably be a consistent problem. Also, please keep in mind that the landscape slopes upward surrounding the lake, meaning that from google maps you might think you are staying at a property "just a few streets away from the lake," where in reality those few streets very well might be switchbacks up a hill, making it more difficult to secure transportation.

Overlooking Lake Como, this refined hotel in a 19th-century villa is about a 3 minute drive to Cernobbio center. Amenities include an upscale restaurant with a waterfront terrace, a fashionable cocktail lounge and meeting space. There's also a spa, sauna and a gym. A breakfast buffet is available. There is a 24 hour concierge who can help you get taxis and give other recommendations.

This hotel boasts stunning views of the Lake, but is up a hill about a 15 min walk from the lake front/town center! It has a restaurant and wonderful amenities.

This beautiful hotel is also in the Cernobbio area, with a pool, gym, and wellness area. It is about a 10 minute walk to our venue!

Hotel Centrale
Hotel Centrale is a boutique hotel, originally the oldest Inn in Cernobbio. It is conveniently located in the heart of Cernobbio. It is 50 meters from the lakefront. There are a number of quaint side streets worth exploring for restaurants and shops in close proximity. Hotel Centrale is a 5 minute walk to the wedding day venue. **To book, email info@centralehotel.it and mention the VanDoren/Bingham Wedding Block. Payment is due on arrival.

Getting to Lake Como
Lake Como is conveniently located just north of Milan. There are several airports in greater Milan, with Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) being the closest, a short 45 minute drive to Cernobbio. The best time to book an international flight to Italy during peak season is about 5 months prior to the trip! Once you get to Milan, there are multiple ways to get to Lake Como. There are many companies that offer private car trips from Milan to Como. You can also choose to arrive by train. Como San Giovanni is the nearest train station, less than 15 minutes from Cernobbio. There are high speed trains all over Europe, making it very easy to explore.
