How didn't we meet earlier? It's something we talk about all the time. We both grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. Jess went to the public high school and Carlo went to the Catholic high school. Jess' next door neighbor was Carlo's sister's best friend. Our cell phone numbers were two digits off. Jess' family lived in La Salle, IL... the same small town in which Carlo's mother was born. The list of opportunities to meet each other grows whenever we reminisce. However, it took both of us moving to Denver for us to finally meet each other. We met online and Jess was brave enough to swipe right on Carlo... and Bennett (let's be honest, our families love Golden Retrievers, so this was an unfair advantage). It was her first and last online date. It was "just drinks" on a cold and rainy November night that ended up being a 2AM date we didn't want to end. Since then, the number of adventures have exponentially grown. From long road trips to river trips, Parisian feasts and farm dinners, cats and dogs, apartments and a house, and ultimately two adventurous souls deciding to take the plunge and get married. The best parts of meeting each other are the friends and family we've been able to meet and grow with over the years. If you are reading this, know that you were instrumental in making each of us the people we are today and part of why we fell in love with each other. We are so excited for our wedding day and look forward to celebrating with you to kick off another adventure.
