General Information

Though some of the weekend's gatherings -- like the ceremony and reception -- won't be located directly in Stowe, we'll provide shuttles to those events. Everything else will be happening in and around Stowe, Vermont so we encourage you to focus your travel plans there. Click the "View" button directly below to be redirected to the GoStowe website, which is a valuable online resource as you consider flights, airport transportation, accommodations, restaurants, and things to do in the area.

Outbound Stowe (room block)

ROOM BLOCK (DISCOUNT CODE AVAILABLE UNTIL JUNE 20TH). We have a large room block at this hotel for our guests and we'd love for you to join us here if it works for you. Outbound Stowe has an outdoor pool, on-site eatery/bar, ADA accessible rooms, and is a short walk from a lovely, local bakery as well as some restaurants. The recreation path runs behind it and there are hiking trails a short distance away. Things to note: 1) The link below will give you discount pricing for Thursday night (in case you want to arrive early and make it a long weekend) as well as Friday and Saturday night. But if you want to stay even longer, that's an option. We're told they will offer the discount pricing for a longer stay, but you must call them to set this up AFTER you reserve your room(s) for the weekend. 2) We reserved specific types of rooms but they have other types of rooms available that aren't part of our block (like rooms with twin bunk beds or sleeper sofas). If you're interested in looking for other types of rooms, go to their main website and see what's available. If you see something that would fit you better than what is in our block, you can call the hotel and request it. Just make sure to explain that you are part of the Alsop Horsefield wedding so that they apply the discount. Lastly, if this hotel isn't your jam for any reason, not to worry! There are plenty of other accommodation options in the area. We'll be running shuttles to and from the wedding site on Saturday so even if you don't stay at Outbound, you can catch the shuttle from here.

Sun & Ski Inn and Suites (discount pricing)

DISCOUNT PRICING. This hotel has offered a discount to our guests, though they sometimes run promotions so you may be able to find an even better deal than the wedding discount. It's less than a mile from Outbound and they have a variety of rooms/pricing, plus 36 of their rooms are brand new this year. They have on-site mini golf and bowling, and a lot of perks for their guests including: discounts on the golf park, indoor heated pool, brand new hot tub, fitness center, fire pit, discounts on bike rentals, discounts at the Round Hearth restaurant (off site), complimentary grab & go snack from 7 to 10AM, complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate from 7am to 10PM. Also, pets are welcome and they don't charge a pet fee.

Green Mountain Inn

LOTS OF DIFFERENT ROOM TYPES; RIGHT IN TOWN. For those who want to be in the center of town, the Green Mountain Inn is a great option. It's surrounded by shops, restaurants, and cafes, plus it's just a quick walk to the recreation path. While we don't have a room block here, the Inn has competitive pricing and lots of different types of rooms available, including some condos that they manage (for families who want multi-bedroom options).

Edson Hill

LUXURY; SMALL; VERY QUIET. If you're looking for luxurious accommodations with a retreat-like quality, Edson Hill can't be beat. This inn is on a gorgeous, serene estate and includes an on-site restaurant and tavern, a pool, and a swimming pond. It has rooms within the historic manor house, as well as guest house rooms that have exterior entrances. Each room at Edson Hill is thoughtfully and individually decorated, and the rooms come with complimentary breakfast. While we've never stayed here, we have dined at their restaurant and thought their food was phenomenal.

Boutique hotels in Stowe

UPDATED ROOMS; SMALLER HOTELS. Outbound Stowe, where we have a room block, is considered a boutique hotel. But it's just one of several boutique hotels in the area. If Outbound doesn't suit your needs but you like the idea of staying at a smaller hotel that has updated rooms and a contemporary feel, then you may want to check out one of these four hotels. Burlington Airport

LOCAL; SMALLEST AIRPORT; ~45 MIN DRIVE. The closest airport to Stowe is the Patrick Leahy Burlington Airport in Burlington, VT. It's about a 45-minute drive to Stowe. The airport is small -- it only has 15 gates total -- but there are a surprising number of flights in and out of the airport on a daily basis. You can rent a car at the airport or hire one of the many airport shuttle companies to drive you to Stowe, but you'll want to call and reserve one in advance. And, of course, there are the standard options of ride shares and taxis.

Boston Logan Airport

LARGEST AIRPORT; ~3+ HR DRIVE. Another airport option is the Boston Logan Airport. As an international airport and a hub for Delta and JetBlue, you'll find many flight options in and out of Boston, as well as rental car availability. Depending on traffic and route, it's a 3-4 drive from Logan Airport to Stowe.

Montréal-Trudeau Airport

INTERNATIONAL; MID-SIZED AIRPORT; ~2.5 HR DRIVE. If you're looking to make it a longer trip and want to spend some time in Canada, then you may want to consider flying into Montréal. Just remember to pack your passport! :-) The Montréal airport is about a 2.5-hour drive from Stowe, and most major airlines fly into it. Like all the others, rental cars are available. And there are many Burlington-based airport shuttles that will do pickups at the Montréal airport and drive you back to Burlington, or possibly even as far as Stowe.

Flight

Bradley Airport

MID-SIZED AIRPORT; ~3 HR DRIVE. Bradley Airport in the Hartford area of Connecticut is larger than the Burlington Airport but significantly smaller than Boston Logan. Not all airlines fly into it, but most of the major ones do. Being smaller in size, it's often quicker to get in and out of than Logan, and the drive to Stowe is comparable (about 3 to 3.5 hours) so you might want to consider it if you're flying. And like the others, they have rental cars available.
