This is a poem about Pat and Jen. For those who don’t know, they call each other ‘Fren’.
In 2019 Jen gave us a call - she met a guy in the elevator, not sketchy at all.
They started a new job on the same day - how’s that for new employee orientation, dare we say?
A few chats with Jen later, come to Danville we said - little did Pat know, Kath and Steve lie ahead.
We met them for a hike, Pat was wearing Chacos on his feet. We were skeptical of the hills, but Pat didn’t miss a beat.
Fast forward, its clear they are Peas in a Pod. Just give them beer, a ski slope, or a fly-fishing rod.
On weekends they’re on trails, watching dogs, or cooking feasts - or at Little Machine brewery… they’ve got (a lot of) receipts.
Denver is their home, and sometimes the distance makes us sad - But we know that for these two, life will always be rad.
So cheers to Jen and Pat, we know married life will be sweet. (And soon enough Pat will have his name on the wall at The Brass Rail of Pete).
