We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met at the Pharmacy Burger Parlor & Beer Garden in East Nashville. Or, more specifically, in the parking lot. Daniel was a server at the time and taking out the trash, and Jen was meeting with friends. He thought she looked like a girl named Shelby. She was worried he was someone she didn't remember from that time she tried online dating. When she said that she wasn't Shelby, he did an adorable, awkward dance back through the gate into the garden (with the trash still in hand). He found her seated in his section and said, "Hi, I'm Daniel. I've been harassing your friend in the alley." This got the whole table laughing. A month later, her cousin, Carly, and her friend, Hanna, were there to witness the flirtation. Hanna recognized Daniel from the recording studio her husband, Jameson, had recorded at. She immediately dug into Daniel's Facebook and Instagram. By the end of the meal, she left a note from "Shelby" with Jen's number. The first date was a few days later, and the rest is history!

We were fortunate to travel to Australia with our good friends, Jessica and Brian, in late November/early December 2019. We had been talking a lot about getting married, but Daniel was insistent that he would not be proposing while we were traveling. Despite this, I kept thinking that it might happen. By the last night, I figured he must have been telling the truth. The morning of our flight home, Daniel and I woke up early for one last walk along the coast at Bondi Beach. As we were taking a picture, I turned and saw Daniel down on one knee. It was a beautiful moment, just the two of us. He caught me completely by surprise.
