Travel - Please book early!

"There is something about the momentum of travel that makes you want to just keep moving, to never stop" - Bill Bryson (Neither Here Nor There)

Travel Note

Please book Hotels or Airbnbs early!!!

Unfortunately September is a very popular time of year to visit New York. The UN General Assembly and New York Fashion week means hotels are more expensive than normal. We highly recommend you book early. We have limited hotel blocks in locations we’d recommend. The couple will be staying at the Fitzpatrick and other events like Welcome Drinks and the After Party will likely be close by. We have attached a map of important locations, as well as the various hotel blocks and will update this as plans get solidified.

Rooms start at $532 per night including tax for 1 King bed and go up to $649 per night including tax for a 1 bedroom suite with King bed. This room block expires on August 18th, 2026.

Travel Note

I’m on a tight budget, where do you recommend staying?

Staying in Queens, Astoria and Long Island City specifically, are affordable options and convenient to the venue. New Jersey also has great options but keep in mind that babysitting may be less available and your car home might be more expensive. If you’re coming with a group, Airbnbs in the above areas may be more affordable, although due to NYC housing laws they are in short supply. Hostels are also an affordable option, but this means you are only paying for your bed. Your room and bathroom will be shared with other travelers. We’d recommend HI Hostel on the Upper West Side because of its’ reviews and convenience to the venue. You can book this hostel through Hostelworld.com.

Flight

LaGuardia Airport

NYC has tons of airports, but LaGuardia has the most domestic flights, is accessible by M60 and Q70 busses (it's easy, we swear), or a short cab ride to the venue and recommended hotel options.

Flight

John F. Kennedy Airport

We'd recommend this airport second since JFK is farther from the venue and may require a more expensive car ride. However, it is connected to the subway via the E, J, and Z trains as well as the Long Island Rail Road which will take you directly to Penn Station or Grand Central.

Train

Amtrak

Amtrak is a great option for those coming from the Boston, Philadelphia and DC areas, and it arrives at Moynihan Hall of Penn Station, putting you right on the subway lines.

Train

MTA - New York Subway

The 6 train stops at 103rd St, a few blocks east of our venue (8-10 minute walk). The 6 train runs north to the Bronx and through Lower Manhattan. The 4 and 5 run express in Manhattan and stop at 86th St where you can easily change to a local 6 train.

Train

MTA - New York Public Busses

The M1, M2, M3, M4, and M106 busses all stop right around the corner from our venue, offering North-South and East-West options in Manhattan. Busses are currently tap-to pay so you can use any contactless payment method to take them.

Flight

Newark Airport

Newark Airport is our third choice for NYC airports. It is in New Jersey so you can get into the city via New Jersey Transit which will take you into Penn Station with multiple subway lines. Cabs will be more expensive because you have to cross state lines.
