Yes please! If you already know whether you’ll be joining us, feel free to RSVP on the website now. Otherwise, formal invitations will be sent out in late June with our official RSVP deadline.
Yes! The dress code is Formal. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, as are suits and cocktail dresses. Please do not wear jeans or tennis shoes. Out of respect for the bride, we kindly ask you do not wear dresses that are white, off-white, ivory, alabaster, cream, champagne, pearl, or any of the above that have a pattern (ie no ivory dress with blue floral print). If you are unsure, please reach out to Jennie. Jennie has had a ton of success renting formal wear from Nuuly, here is her referral link if you’d like to rent a formal dress for the wedding. https://share.nuuly.com/jennie822
Short answer: No. Long answer: Everyone invited to the wedding from your household is listed on your invitation, including if you received a plus one. Given space constraints of hosting in New York we are not able to offer additional plus ones at this time. If there has been an oversight, please reach out to the couple.
We cherish all the children in our lives, however, at this time, we can ONLY accommodate the children of the wedding party at this wedding. Thank you for your understanding. We are working with a highly-qualified NYC-based babysitting service (Jennie is a sitter for them and has worked in their office) who have offered to waive their activation fee for our guests. Please reach out to the couple directly (jhwillfieldwedding@gmail.com) for instructions on how to get set up.
Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for details of our hotel blocks. There are limited rooms in the hotel blocks, so please book early. Each block has an expiration date, around August 18th, 2026, so plan to either book before then or arrange your own accommodations.
All New York City public transit accepts tap-to-pay and we highly recommend taking the subway or bus. The 6 train stops at 103rd St, a few blocks east of our venue (8-10 minute walk). The 6 train runs north to the Bronx and south through Lower Manhattan. The 4 and 5 run express in Manhattan and stop at 86th St where you can easily change to a local 6 train. The M1, M2, M3, M4, and M106 busses all stop right around the corner from our venue, offering North-South and East-West options in Manhattan.
As of right now, no one is planning to change their name, so please continue to address the couple as Jennie Mayfield and Henry Willshire.
No, we are doing a mostly unplugged ceremony. There will be a time during the ceremony when our officiant will prompt everyone to take photos if they like. Once that time is over, we ask all phones be put away. We have hired our incredible photographer, Justin, so while we appreciate the sentiment, we’d love for you to be fully present with us during our ceremony.
We encourage you to enjoy your time in the city, but if you find yourself at the venue early, there is a first floor room where you will be directed to wait.
No, there is no parking. There are paid lots available nearby but they book up quickly. If you would like to try street parking rather than using our robust public transit system, that is between you and your God.
The main reception room will have the dance floor, so the periodicals room next door will be set up as cooldown space. If you are going to smoke, you will have to head downstairs to the street outside.
Yes, there will be welcome drinks the day before the wedding, and an after party after the reception.
Our entire event is indoors! Take that, Mother Nature.
Congratulations on your original thinking! Please reach out to the couple...before the wedding day. Come September 19th, you're on your own - try asking another guest.
