Jennifer and Rohan’s love story began in the Fall of 2020. People say that virtual collaboration platforms are effective, but in our case, we over delivered. We were colleagues, so video meeting calls took a long time to turn into Facetime calls, but shortly after that we met for the first time in real life. We spent the next several weeks getting to know each other better, but already knew we had so much in common and were destined to fall in love. The foundation was being set for something special ❤ After dating for a only couple months, I bought her what I thought was a one way ticket to Chicago (spoiler alert, we now live in NJ!). Working together, going for runs by the lakefront, sharing a passion for a healthy lifestyle, love for food, common life values, and most importantly love for family and friends got us closer with each passing day. If the virtual phase was the foundation, this phase was when we built the unbreakable core elements to support a lifetime together. We've since taken vacations together, met each other's family and friends, and become like family. After spending a year together navigating the crazy world of COVID, I was ready to get down on one knee and propose to Jenn in October of 2021. The date I picked happened to coincide with the date we spoke on Facetime for the first time. I knew that I wanted to marry her back in August 2021, but the global supply chain didn't just impact our deals clients, it also delayed the overseas travel of the engagement ring I designed with my family jeweler in Mumbai. We got engaged on October 16, 2021 and began the process of planning an Indian American wedding we hope you all will remember for a lifetime – because we certainly will!
