Travel and Lodging
If you plan to fly, you can fly into Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) located less than 15 miles south of Salem, MA. There are several ways to get to Salem from Boston including driving (appx. 30-45 min. depending on traffic), driving services (e.g., Uber, Lyft, etc.), and public transportation.
If you are taking public transportation, you will need to take both (1) trains within the Boston subway system and (2) a commuter rail to Salem via the Newburyport/Rockport lines. It takes around 1-1.25 hours.
We recommend staying in downtown Salem, walking distance from the House of Seven Gables. There are plenty of hotel, Air B&B, and similar options available.
