One of our favorite places for a peaceful walk under the oak trees and Spanish moss. Check out the Fly for a grassy space with a view of the Mississippi - perfect spot to drink your drive-thru daquiris.
City Park
If you’re up for a longer stroll, City Park is full of trails, beautiful oaks, and plenty of green space to wander. There’s also a sculpture garden and beignets!
Commander's Palace
Classic New Orleans. Go for brunch if you can—there’s jazz and 25-cent martinis.

Great seafood in the Warehouse District.
Brennan's
An icon in the French Quarter, and home of the original Bananas Foster.
Willie's Chicken Shack
All good nights end here. I have nothing but fond memories of stumbling into this Willie’s Chicken Shack for some chicken tenders and daiquiris with Willie’s sauce.

The loveliest neighborhood wine & cheese bar. You select a bottle of wine and charcuterie from the wine shop in the front, and they’ll plate it for you. There’s live music many nights!
Bywater Bakery
The most delicious Chantilly cake, and great breakfast/lunches! The owner developed Whole Foods’ Chantilly recipe.
Bayou Beer Garden
Beer on the bayou! There are usually food trucks.
Music Box Village
A very cool musical sculpture garden. You can go during the day to play with the instruments (great for kids and adults), or check out their concert schedule!
