If you have never been to a drive in, The Stardust is a must! You can see two movies for less than what you pay in the theatre! What's more awesome is that they play current films on the big screen. They've got great concessions, too!
This bridge is how Josh and Jenn get into Nashville, even though they have to drive around the city to get to the parking lot (it's FREE parking!). The bridge offers an astounding view of the city and is named after one of Jenn's favorite historians.
This is one of Jennifer's favorite buildings in Nashville; it certainly helps that the symphony is one of Josh and Jenn's favorite places to visit,
This is the stereotypical Nashville experience. There's a long history on Broadway; Cher was almost arrested in Tootsies. The Ryman is only a few steps off of Broadway, as are other museums and places to visit!
Funny Story: Josh works at TPAC; however, he may not have if Jennifer had not insisted they go see Postmodern Jukebox. While sitting in the theatre waiting for the show to start, Josh wondered if TPAC was hiring. TPAC was hiring; Josh had a job before he officially graduated college.
If you're looking for history, the Parthenon is located here. With both a walkthrough museum of how an exact replica of the Parthenon and Athena Parthenos ended up staying in Nashville after the World's Fair and an art gallery underneath the main hall, there is plenty to entertain! Plus, you'll often find wildlife hanging out in the surrounding ponds.
This is where Josh asked Jenn if she wanted to go late one Saturday night... see the "How It All Began" section on the homepage to see how that went for Josh.
Josh and Jenn spend quite a bit of time in these parks. Deer are often found on the trails. Jennifer often likes to stop and play in the creeks or even the river if given the chance. The two like to hike up to a quiet place and throw up the hammock for some sunbathing time.
Jennifer once gave tours at the Lotz house for extra credit in college; it was a large part of sparking her love of public history. Fun fact: One of the boys that lived in this house invented the vacuum; some dude named Hoover paid for it all though.
The Carter House proudly is still standing despite the amount of bullet holes that it has; this was the first building knocked on by the Confederate officers before the Battle of Franklin ensued (it quickly became the front line of the battle).
