Killarney
Our favorite spot! Home to Killarney National Park, Ross Castle, Muckross House & Gardens - for those looking for nature and beauty. Downtown Killarney also holds shops, museums, a movie theatre and so many restaurants/pubs.
Dingle Peninsula
Highlights of this area: Slea Head Drive, Blasket Islands, Downtown Dingle/Harbor (Aquarium, boat tours, Dingle Distillery). Former home to the infamous dolphin "Fungie." Fungie did not appear after last October, but prior to this he would pop his head out of the water to greet boat guests frequently throughout his day. He loved the fish in Dingle Harbor, who can blame him? Fungie was known to interact playfully with swimmers, surfers, kayakers and divers in the water.
Tralee
Most well known for the Rose of Tralee Festival and pageant (usually in August). Also home to the Kerry County Museum, Aqua Dome indoor water park, Tralee town park, and much more.
Kenmare
Lovely town - many shops, restaurants, and horseback riding!
Killorglin
Home to the Puck Fair, which is held annually each August and is Ireland's oldest street festival.
Inch Beach
If you're heading to either Annascaul or Dingle, you'll pass Inch Beach. One of Ireland's "Blue Flag" beaches, which just means it is awarded excellence in water quality and cleanliness. Make it a beach day, and surfing lessons are an option. There are a couple restaurants next to the beach.
