Explore Downtown Golden

We LOVE downtown Golden! It’s such a beautiful city with tons of restaurants, shops & bars to check out. There’s also a path that runs along the Clear Creek that’s great for a morning or evening walk.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

When there isn’t a concert, Red Rocks is completely open to the public! It is stunning & definitely worth a little trip to check out! Afterward, the town of Morrison has some cute restaurants to check out.

Molson Coors Brewery

The Molson Coors Brewery is a staple to downtown Golden. Take a brewery tour for $10 and you get to sample some brews fresh out of the Rockies :)

Lookout Mountain Trail

Lookout Mountain has many “lookout” spots that have some beautiful views. One is at the same site as the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave, another a short drive (there’s also a walking path) from there and then tons of other hidden gems off the roadside.

Table Mountain Hike

Table Mountain is a nice hike right in Golden. Jen has done North Table Mountain and while the initial STEEP climb up is difficult, it’s all mostly flat once you’re up & has gorgeous views.

Estes Park

Estes Park is about a 1.5 hour drive from Golden, BUT the views on the drive are spectacular! There are multiple spots to pull off and get out and enjoy the mountain views on the drive. Estes Park itself has amazing views of the Rockies & is a good starting point if you’re heading to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Dinosaur Ridge

We haven’t been, but have heard it’s a great place to visit with the kids!

The Splash at Fossil Trace

Waterpark in Golden if you want to cool off! You do need a reservation due to COVID protocols, so make sure you check out the website beforehand.

Colorado Railroad Museum

Clear Creek White Water Park

River tubing & kayaking on the creek and biking, walking, jogging on the path next to the creek.
