In 10 days we were leaving to spend Veteran's Day in Norfolk, VA. Deron went to school there way back when he was a plebe in the US Navy and he wanted us to go back together.

Apparently he also wanted to propose to me there.

I guess the ring came in the mail on Wednesday and he was so excited he couldn't wait until we went to Norfolk to ask me to marry him.

In return, I decided to 'surprise' him with last minute engagement photo shoot in Norfolk's Neon District because I have a thing for murals, just like I have a thing for him. -Jen

Going forward, after we changed the date, I decided to show reverence for the day by using street art from The Mural Project @ NYC's World Trade Center.

Silverstein Properties invited 50 street artists to paint, draw and execute their brilliant visions on the walls, floors and windows of 4 World Trade Center's 69th floor.

In addition, the outdoor site would be the large sheds surrounding the empty lot that would become Two World Trade Center. It is the site where the South Tower stood until September 11.
