This is where we will be having our welcome drinks and send off brunch. It's also where shuttles to and from the ceremony and reception will pick up and drop off. Make sure to use the link below by clicking "View" or copy and paste https://book.passkey.com/go/TERRYTAYLOR0125 in your browser to book with our discount. Note that the prices are in Canadian Dollars, which is roughly .75 USD. You may also call the Fairmont @ 1-800-441-1414 to make a reservation. Just tell them you are part of the Jen Terry & Chris Taylor Wedding to receive the group rates. You can check in as early as Tuesday, January 21st and out as late Wednesday, January 29th at the discounted rates. We'll be arriving Monday, January 20th and would love to ski with you during the week if you can come in early! We plan to ski a couple days at the resort and tour a couple days, exact plans TBD.
Hotel
If you'd prefer to stay in a home instead of a hotel, we've found the following local vacation rental companies have a bit more inventory than Airbnb: - https://whistlerplatinum.com - https://alohawhistler.com - https://whistlerwired.com
Flight
The closest airport is the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), which is about two and a half hours from Whistler Village. Another option is to fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), which Google says is a four-hour drive, but in our experience is usually over five.
Travel Note
There are two recommended shuttles from Vancouver to Whistler: 1. YVR Skylynx is the most direct option. It picks up from the airport and drops off at several Whistler hotels, including The Fairmont Château. It's roughly $45 CAD each way and leaves twice a day. You can buy tickets here - https://yvrskylynx.com/ 2. Epic Rides is less direct. It picks up from Vancouver City Center and drops off at the Village Gate, which is about a 15 minute walk from The Fairmont Château. However, it runs more frequently and is only $45 CAD round trip. You can buy tickets here - https://epicrides.ca/
Rental Car
If you'd like to rent a car, please make sure you get one with winter tires and/or 4/AWD. This can be tricky to do since most aggregators do not have these filters. Among the rental car agencies at the Vancouver Airport, the following have some winter appropriate options: - Avis has a Snow Tires filter. After searching initially, click All Vehicles > Filter by Special Features - https://www.avis.com/en/home - Alamo has a '4 Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive' filter - https://www.alamo.ca/en/home.html - National has some AWD and 4 Wheel Drive options - https://www.nationalcar.ca/en/home.html - Enterprise also has some AWD and 4 Wheel Drive options - https://www.enterprise.ca/en/car-rental/locations/canada/bc/vancouver-international-airport-in-terminal-c470.html
Travel Note
A valid passport is required for entry into Canada by air. If driving, you may enter with an enhanced driver's license or passport.
