Please dress for winter (hats, scarves & gloves) and wear practical shoes for walking on snow. Feel free to bring a change of party shoes for the reception. The ceremony will be brief, but outdoors, before heading inside a rustic heated barn for the reception. We recommend taking advantage of our shuttles. We will post the shuttle schedule closer to the wedding date. The road to the venue is plowed, but conditions are weather dependent. If you must drive for any reason, please send us a message.
We are having an adults only wedding celebration on January 25th. However, children are invited to attend the welcome party on January 24th and brunch on January 26th. If you need childcare for the ceremony and reception, The Fairmont partners with Babysitting Whistler (https://maps.app.goo.gl/uzHkBjvSVn1aiBMZ7). Babysitting Whistler is a childcare and nanny agency that provides safe, fun active care while babysitting. Their nannies and babysitters come to your Whistler accommodation to entertain your children both during the day and in the evening. They accept all kids from newborn to 14 years of age. They conduct background and reference checks on all their nannies. All Whistler Babysitters are first aid certified, bonded and insured.
Yes. We'll be arriving Monday, January 20th and are planning to ski Tuesday - Friday. We will likely ski at the resort a couple days and tour a couple days. Please come early so we can party ski.
High heels or shoes with no traction - that's pretty much it.
Our ceremony will be outdoors, but we'll keep it brief. The shuttles will drop off right at the venue and you won't need to walk more than 150 yards or so. The venue has a few buildings, including an old rail car, and standalone bathrooms. The main reception will be inside a heated, rustic barn with concrete floors.
