Wedding Ceremony

Our wedding ceremony will be held on the grounds of the University of Georgia's north campus. The location is Herty Field, the site of the first on-campus football game held in 1892! The event will occur rain or shine, so keep an eye on the weather and pack your umbrellas if rain is in the forecast. Additionally, guests will be standing during this event, so wear shoes that will be comfortable on grass. We promise to make it short and sweet! This location is directly adjacent to downtown Athens and is easily walkable for our guests who are staying in one of the nearby hotels. The dinner following the ceremony is also close walking distance to Herty Field. Celebration Dinner

Please join us for a celebration dinner at Porterhouse Grill in downtown Athens. The restaurant is located on Broad Street and is easily walkable via a short stroll across the University of Georgia's beautiful north campus quad. Seating for our dinner begins at 8pm and will include a selection of first and second courses followed by wedding cake. No need to make any selections in advance, just plan to enjoy a fantastic meal. While this is not a traditional reception, we are so looking forward to spending time with our friends and family to celebrate this wonderful day.
