Q&A

The Wedding Website of Megan Jacobs and Jacob Calkins
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The attire is formal; ladies, think knee- to floor-length dresses or dressy pantsuits. Men, long-sleeved dress shirts and dress pants, preferably with a suit jacket and tie/bow tie. For reference, the bridal party will be wearing floor-length pistachio satin dresses, and the groomsmen will be in black suit and bow tie. If you'd like to stick to a theme, the wedding will have a summery bright pastel color palette, emulating an elevated garden party (minus the fancy hats!). Think modern Bridgerton! The above collage is ONLY inspiration; please do not feel pressured to conform to these exact styles or colors.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. The ceremony is on turf grass, and the reception will be held in the courtyard on concrete. The cocktail hour and reception desserts and activities will be held indoors. Everything is within a few short steps of each other and ADA accessible.

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than Friday, July 18th. You can do so by clicking the "RSVP" tab on this website.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can't make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "Will Not Attend" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Due to limited space in the venue, we kindly ask that you only bring those who are listed under your RSVP.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space in the venue, we kindly ask that you only bring those who are listed under your RSVP.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Temecula and Oceanside/Carlsbad are the closest large towns with plenty of hotel and Airbnb options. For hotel recommendations, please check out the Travel tab.

Question

What time should I arrive for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30, so we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before to give yourself enough time to be seated. Late arrivals will be asked to wait until the processional is over before being seated.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Our venue has free on-site parking. A parking attendant will be present to direct you.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures, which we'll share with you! Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and share them with us too!
