It all started when Jeff moved from Michigan to Boise in search of a new adventure, and Kenzie, originally from Minnesota, was there for one of her physical therapy clinical rotations. Since we were still in the tail end of COVID-19, they met the way most couples were meeting at the time — on Hinge. One of their first dates was at Bogus Basin Ski Resort. After Kenzie skied past Jeff, pushed him over, and got him stuck in the snow, he knew she was the one. Unfortunately, Kenzie had to move back to Minnesota to continue her clinicals, and the timing just didn’t line up. But after some time apart, she officially moved back to Boise, and they picked things up right where they left off. Jeff and Kenzie’s relationship grew through time spent doing the things they love — deer and elk hunting, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, hiking, skiing and snowboarding, paddle boarding, working out, traveling home to see their families, playing card games, drinking coffee, and relaxing at home with way too much Domino’s pizza. Two and a half years later, Jeff proposed during a hike overlooking Bogus Basin, bringing their story full circle. He surprised Kenzie with both of their families in town to celebrate. We can’t wait to get married and share our Idaho home with all of our friends and family from the Midwest and beyond!
