Our wedding ceremony at The Basilica of Saint Mary will be indoors. Our cocktail hour at Bakery 105 will be outdoors in the courtyard and the reception will be indoors!
The average temperature in Wilmington, NC, in November, is a high of 68 degrees and a low of 45 degrees. We are hopeful for a sunny & 70 degree day! :)
Our wedding is a relaxed formal attire. Men should wear suits & ties (no tuxes necessary) and women can wear mid to long length dresses. Bridesmaids will be in moss green dresses and the groomsmen will be in light brown/tan suits. The bride will be in white! :)
Children are welcome at our church ceremony but our reception is strictly an adults-only occasion.
We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, and creams.
Downtown Wilmington is walkable, but yes, we will be providing transportation! We will be providing shuttle services to & from Hotel Ballast prior to the Church, after Church back to Ballast (if preferred), to cocktail hour, and at the end of the reception. Please see the details of that timeline below: Saturdays Transportation Timeline, to/from Hotel Ballast: -At 12:50PM Azalea shuttle services will arrive to Hotel Ballast to begin picking up guests for our 2PM wedding ceremony located at St Mary. Azalea will leave Hotel Ballast at 1PM and will do multiple trips, if necessary. -After the wedding ceremony (2:45PM-3PM) guests can depart Church and utilize the return shuttle back to Hotel Ballast if preferred before the cocktail hour begins at 5PM. If not, feel free to explore downtown Wilmington! -4:30PM Azalea shuttle arrives back at Hotel Ballast to begin shuttling our guests to cocktail hour at Bakery 105. -10PM Azalea shuttle will arrive to Bakery 105 to shuttle guests back to Hotel Ballast.
