Question

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will take place on the terrace of the Prospect Park Boathouse, so plan to be outside for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. Dinner and dancing will take place inside the Boathouse, but the doors to the terrace will remain open throughout the reception for anyone who needs to take a breather.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! We have access to 30 parking spaces reserved for guests in Prospect Park. A map with driving/parking instructions is included in your invitation; please bring that card with you to show security when you arrive. Also see those directions (minus the map) reproduced in the "Travel" section of this website.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will have a formal dress code. Here are a couple articles that do a pretty good job of helping guide you on what to wear: https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire and https://www.zola.com/expert-advice/what-to-wear-to-a-spring-wedding#formal

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to the size of our venue, we can only accommodate the guests that are named on your invitation.

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to the size of our venue, we can only accommodate the guests that are named on your invitation. Besides, you deserve a night off!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yep, open bar from the start of the ceremony till the end of the reception.

Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We’ll have light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a two-course plated dinner and dessert.

Question

What protocols will you take to protect against COVID-19?

Answer

We strongly suggest that everyone get vaccinated if they're not already and to stay up to date on your booster shots as they become available. Depending on what the transmission rate is looking like in April 2023, we may ask everyone to take a rapid test the morning of the wedding.

Question

What's the best way to contact you if I have additional questions?

Answer

We'll be updating this FAQ section as our planning process continues, so your question may soon be answered. But if not, shoot us an email at mchaledipasquale@gmail.com!
