Larcomar is a shopping center in Miraflores built into the side of a cliff with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. There are shops, restaurants, and activities for all. You can find Larcomar about 3 blocks away from the Hotel Pullman, right across the street from the JW Marriot Hotel. Definitely walkable.
Parque Kennedy, the unofficial main square of Lima, sits at the center of the Miraflores district. Less than a mile away from the city’s coastal walkway known as El Malecón and close to the Pullman Hotel, Parque Kennedy is a great location to begin city exploration. The park offers street food, art, music, and a colony of friendly stray cats. You can easily walk to Parque Kennedy from the Hotel Pullman.
Maido, voted the best restaurant in the world this year, features Nikkei cuisine, which is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian food and flavors. We visited Maido in February 2025 and loved it! We each had the "Maido Experience" which is a 12-course tasting menu featuring Japanese and Peruvian dishes. For those with smaller appetites, we recommend going a la carte. Do NOT miss out on the tuna and (for those feeling adventurous) the guinea pig! Reservations should be made early. Maido is walkable from the Hotel Pullman.
Cremolada is a popular frozen dessert in Peru, often described as a cross between a smoothie and shaved ice. It's made by blending fresh fruit pulp with sugar and water, then freezing the mixture. Curich is definitely our favorite and walkable from the Hotel Pullman.
Come to Carnaval for some of the best and creative cocktails around. All cocktails have a Peruvian twist and come with a show! Voted one of the 50 Best Bars in the World. Carnaval is in the San Isidro District of Lima and will require an Uber to get to. Don't forget to make a reservation!
The Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs) is one of the most famous landmarks in the Barranco District of Lima. In the mid-1900s, the stream that ran below the bridge was converted into a stone pathway leading from the Puente de los Suspiros to the beaches at the foot of the coastal cliffs. This descending pathway, known as the Bajada de los Baños, was used by fisherman on their daily descent to the sea. We recommend checking out the bridge and walking the stone path to the beach, checking out the local artists and vendors on the way. With the new bridge (Puente de la Paz) Barranco is about a 15-minute walk from the Pullman Hotel. Also accessible with an Uber.
If you're looking to experience traditional Peruvian food, definitely try Isolina. Voted one of the 50 best restaurants in Latin America, Isolina specializes in generous traditional dishes, usually originating from Lima, designed for sharing. We make sure to visit Isolina every time we are in Lima. Make sure you come hungry as the portions are big! Although they accept walk ins, we recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting. Isolina is located in the Barranco District of Lima. With the new bridge (Puente de la Paz) Barranco is about a 15-minute walk from the Pullman Hotel. Also accessible via Uber.
Parque del Amor (Love Park) is located along the coastline of Miraflores and has beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. The park is the location of "El Beso," a sculpture by Víctor Delfín and is surrounded by mosaics with phrases and poems about love in all languages. The park may look familiar, as it was inspired by Park Güell in Barcelona, Spain. Love Park was also chosen by National Geographic as one of the most romantic places in the world, so we think a visit during the wedding weekend is perfect! You can find Love Park walking along El Malecón (a walking pathway along the coastline of Miraflores). We recommend starting at Larcomar and walking El Malecón until you hit Love Park.
Opened just this August, this pedestrian walkway connects two of Lima’s most iconic districts—Miraflores and Barranco—while offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Lima’s dramatic coastline. With its glass floor, modern lighting, and dedicated cycling lane, the Puente de la Paz is already becoming one of the top Miraflores attractions and a must on any walking tour in Lima.
Demo is a Peruvian/Venezuelan bakery in the Barranco district of Lima. Here you can find corn cachapas filled with soft cheese, pastries filled with guava and cheese, sweet arepas served with creamy avocado, natilla, or eggs benedict, and crispy tequeños. Demo is a minimalist space where the inviting aroma from the oven creates a cozy ambiance. The terrace, warm in summer and cozy in winter, is the best place on weekday mornings. We recommend walking along the coast over the bridge or taking an Uber to get to Demo.
One of the World's 50 Best Restaurants, Merito unites the cuisines of Peru and Venezuela. We visited Merito in November, and it is not to be missed! They have a tasting menu (which was delicious- try the corn bread) but also offer a la carte. Reservations required. Merito is in the Barranco district of Lima, so you can walk or take an Uber there.
Don’t miss a trip to the Indian Market or ‘mercado indio’ in Lima if you are a souvenir junkie! Located in the heart of the Miraflores district this is a bargain-hunters paradise if you love collecting knick-knacks, clothes, and souvenirs to remind you of your travels. The market is in fact a series of small shopping arcades that run from block 52 to 55. Each arcade has a series of small shops that sell the ‘traditional’ Peruvian handcrafts and souvenirs including alpaca scarves, sweaters and hats, colorful woven textiles, jewelry, and musical instruments, among other things. Items are generally low priced and it’s a good place if you want to buy a selection of affordable souvenirs from your trip. You can bargain on the prices so shop around first to get the best deal and then ask for a discount. They take soles and dollars - some stalls even take credit cards. The markets are about a 20-minute walk from the Hotel Pullman, but also accessible by Uber.
