Wine tasting at Alexander Valley Vineyard in Sonoma County

Alexander Valley Vineyards has graciously agreed to offer free wine tastings to any of our guests who want to venture up to wine country -- this is available anytime from Monday, July 8, to Sunday, July 21. We're members of Alexander Valley and are getting the wine for the wedding from them. If you're interested, you can either call Alexander Valley in advance to set something up or just come in and mention that you're there for the Europa-Kosbie wedding, and the vineyard will take care of you. Alexander Valley Vineyards is in Healdsburg, a lovely wine country town with fun stores, restaurants, and tasting rooms to visit, and beautiful wine country roads.

Friday Nights at OMCA

We will probably not be there of course, but Friday nights at OMCA is one of our favorite things to do if you're around and have time. The vibe: food trucks, live music, street party atmosphere, and the museum is open if you want to pay for admission or you can go hang out on the rooftop for free.

Europa Kosbie Wedding

Summer garden attire. Dress in layers for the cool evening. It's July, so the weather should be good (and the lawn entirely dry) but be sure to check beforehand. If it affects your shoe choices, dancing will be on concrete.
The ceremony and reception will be outdoors on the museum's garden. Both ceremony and reception will be on a grass lawn. The museum is a block away from the Lake Merritt BART station and less than a mile from the Oakland City Center BART station. Parking in the museum's garage will be available at a flat rate of $7 after 5:00 pm, and $3/hour before 5:00 pm. There is handicapped parking on the garage's 2nd level. Before 5:30 pm, the rear entrance of the museum closer to the garden is also accessible (head to the parking lot at 10 Tenth Street, Oakland, CA and when you arrive, the rear part of the museum will be on your left).
