Wedding Party

Meet our honored family and friends who will be in our wedding party!

Joey Sanders

Maid of Honor

I’m Joey, Maid of Honor, younger sister, and lifelong co-conspirator of the bride. We grew up together in Las Vegas, bonding over scary movies, true crime documentaries, and an unspoken agreement that the more morbid, the better. I still proudly wear a black sweater I stole from her when she was 22—technically theft, but spiritually a gift. I once pressured her into downloading a dating app “just because,” and somehow that led to Jeff! Watching them together makes me believe in true love—though not enough to stop anxiety-watching dateline. I love my sister more than words can say, and I’m so honored to stand beside her as she marries the man of her dreams!

Kevin Gleason

Best Man

I’m Kevin, Jeff’s former Craigslist roommate and his best man. When I first moved to California, I was just looking for a place to live by the beach. Instead, after 45min Skype interview and house tour, I ended up with a roommate who quickly became my best friend. We have had too many LA adventures to count and travel where I happily reaped the benefits of Jeff’s thorough travel planning. Our friendship has been close knit and Jeff is someone I can truly count on. I also hold the rare distinction of being present on Jeff and Christina’s very first date, which means I’ve had a front-row seat to their story since day one. It’s been incredible to get to know Christina and see how great they are for each other. I couldn’t be more honored to stand by Jeff’s side as he and Christina begin this next chapter together.

LINDA SANDERS

Mother of the Bride

LISA FLAHERTY

Mother of the Groom

Hi, we are Pat and Lisa. We can honestly say, with fear of contradiction, that we'll win the prize for knowing the groom the longest, we are his parents. We are so happy to be part of the start of this life journey of Jeff and Christina. We haven't known Christina long but we have already come to love and appreciate her for how happy she makes Jeff and what a great life they will have together. Lisa and I just celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary, so happily long marriages are in Jeff's bloodline.

MARK SANDERS

Father of the Bride

PAT FLAHERTY

Father of the Groom

We've had the pleasure and opportunity to travel a lot with Jeff particularly over the last few years and we're glad to see Jeffrey introducing Christina to some amazing trips. We're so happy for them both. We feel so lucky that Jeff is marrying into such a great family. We look forward to spending a lot of time with the Sanders clan.

Ashley Anderson

Bridesmaid

Hi! I am Ashley one of Christina’s best friends. We met one night many years ago when my husbands cult classic, Happenstance, was in a Las Vegas film festival. What a wonderful happenstance to meet this amazing girl that I had so much in common with. When Christina made the move to LA I was ecstatic to be in the same town. We have had so many wonderful times together whether it is playing tennis, going to the beach, or running around town with or without the boys in tow. When Christina met Jeff it seemed to fit perfectly. It felt like where had he been all this time. He went from “finance bro” to solid boyfriend within a few weeks. They were both clearly blissfully happy together. Can’t wait to celebrate their love in Italy!

Charles Johnson

Groomsman

I’m Charles, one of Jeff’s groomsmen. We met at the prestigious Deloitte University in 2012 for a riveting auditing training and again connected when on the same client in the industrious City of Industry. Since then, we’ve switched jobs to the same company and traveled together to Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Mississippi to name a few places. We’re in a heated race with our countries visited count, and him having Christina around doesn’t seem to be helping my cause! It’s been great getting to know Christina over the last couple of years, sharing our love for all things tennis, and what a fantastic fit they are together. Cheers to the happy couple!

Jakob Balen

Bridesman

I’m Jakob, Bridesman and, depending on the crowd, the unofficial male version of the bride. We met when she was coaching a tennis clinic that I signed up for, where my main goal was less ‘perfecting my serve’ and more ‘convincing her to like me.’ That somehow worked out, but the true point of no return was the night I dragged her to an escape room and then straight to a Cher-a-Thon in West Hollywood. Since then, our lives have been stitched together with tennis matches, post-tennis gin-fueled debriefs, mutual pep talks about how our brains are essentially horror shows (another thing we enjoy watching together), and a running list of references only we seem to understand. Now I get the honor of being there as she marries Jeff, who I’ve adored and knew was the real deal from day one. And if the reception emboldens me to transform into Måneskin’s unofficial fifth member, I’ll happily smudge on the eyeliner. When in Italy...

Devin Jensen

Groomsman

I met Jeff one fateful night at a party. It all started with a round of beer pong and destiny. We ran the table all night, a flawless performance that bonded us for life. Later that night, I mentioned I was moving to Hermosa Beach and looking for a roommate. Jeff came to check out the place, saw it was near the beach, and moved in. He moved in with me faster than he moved on Christina… honestly, I was the real love at first sight. (Sorry, Christina.) We’ve been friends for over 10 years and have had countless adventures from snowboarding trips to traveling across Europe. We’ve shared everything from wild parties at our beach house to surprisingly serious book clubs. Jeff is someone I can always count on, whether it’s something serious or just a good time, and he’s truly one of the most trustworthy and loyal people I know. Jeff stood by my side at my wedding, and I’m honored to now return the favor. From the first time I saw Jeff and Christina together, it was obvious they shared something real. She clearly loves him, and I couldn’t be happier to see one of my best friends marrying someone who not only makes him happy but also makes him a better person. I can’t wait to celebrate Jeff and Christina’s fairytale wedding in a European castle, the perfect setting for an unforgettable love story.

Spencer Trotta

Bridesmaid

This is Spencer, Christina's friend and technically her boss -- it's only a little weird. Christina and I have been working together for a few years now. When we're not throwing tennis balls at 5 year old's during fruit salad, or discussing a serial killer's M.O., we're dominating (most of the time) as a doubles team. I knew I found a good friend when she was willing to drink wine with me during a changeover when we lost the first set in a USTA match. It's fitting that a person who can perfectly predict my next shot on the tennis court and dissect a murder mystery is the same person who found their partner in crime! Christina's friendship and presence in my life on and off the court, personal and professional, has been a gift and I wish her, Jeff and Kipling nothing but the happy ending they deserve.

Nick Willard

Groomsman

I don’t actually remember when I met Jeff, probably because we were only a few months old at the time. But I’m sure that as his significantly older cousin (one month) I was excited to show him the wonders of the world. We spent a lot of time together growing up: launching model rockets, driving RC cars, and exploring everywhere we went. We even ended up at the same high school. These days, we bookend the West Coast with Jeff in LA and me in Seattle, so unfortunately we don’t get to see each other as often. But when we’re both back in the Bay for the holidays, we always pick up right where we left off. I look forward to standing by his side on his wedding day as he did at mine.
