Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, and if you're excited to bring your kids, we're excited to see them! If you would like a night off, we intend on booking a nanny at the hotel to watch your kids during the wedding. Kids are welcome to any pre and post events. Please let us know if you would like to bring your kids to the wedding and we will add them to the RSVP list.

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Is there parking at the wedding

Answer

There is no parking at the wedding, and cars are only allowed on the island by special request. The wedding is a 15-minute walk from the Ward's Island ferry terminal. If you feel like you cannot walk this, you can take a boat taxi directly to the wedding site, however please only use this as a last resort, as the taxi landing is directly where the ceremony will take place. If you can, please let us know in advance if you are planning on using this option.

While we do not expect any wedding gifts, especially from those travelling, we will set up a registration for those interested. Please stand-by.

When do I have leave the city to be at island?

Answer

To arrive at the wedding on time, you must catch the 2:30pm ferry to Ward's Island. You are welcome to catch an earlier ferry, but please not arrive at the venue until 3:00pm. The ferry is CAD $8.50 for a return trip.

When do I have to leave the island?

Answer

The last ferry from the island to downtown is at 11:45pm (the second last ferry is at 11:00pm). The ferry from Wards Island to the city departs on the hour earlier than 11:00pm. If you miss the last ferry, boat taxis may be available, but they are not guaranteed.
