Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

In the beautiful Valpolicella hills, just outside of Verona, is a beautiful venue called VerdeOlivo -- translating to "green olive." We are so excited to host our ceremony and reception here. Please feel free to visit their website (https://www.verdeolivo1876.com/en/) or their Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/verdeolivo1876/) for a peek :)

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The days are usually still warm and sunny at this time of year -- around 26–30°C, and the evenings cool off to 16–18°C. You’ll probably want sunglasses and sunscreen by day and a light sweater by night. There's always a small chance of a summer sprinkle or thunderstorm, but nothing too dramatic.

Question

Gift registry

Answer

Many of you are travelling a great distance to join our celebration which is more than we could ask for. 🤍 If you are inclined to bring a gift, we will be accepting cash donations to our honeymoon fund. This is entirely optional and greatly appreciated!

Question

What should we pack?

Answer

Packing lists are my best friend and also the bane of my existence. Here's some suggestions/key things to remember! 🎒 Essentials - Passport + copies (digital and physical. I always recommend having a photocopy that you carry with you, so you don't take your physical passport with you everywhere and risk losing it!) - Travel insurance - Italy uses card, but is still prefers cash. Make sure you have some euros! - Plug adapter - Refillable water bottle (lots of potable water fountains in the cities for you to refill! ☺️) - Sunscreen - Any medication you need (and a little extra) - Copies of travel documents (flights, train tickets, confirmations) - Book or e-reader - Portable phone charger - Sleep mask & earplugs 👖Clothing - Light, breathable tops (linen, cotton) - A couple of nice outfits for evenings out (Italians love to dress well) - Semi-formal attire for the wedding (again, they love to dress well, so bring your A-game😉) - A light sweater (or scarf) or jacket for cooler evenings (*scarves are a great idea to throw over your shoulders if you're planning on visiting churches!) - Comfortable walking shoes (cobblestones are not flip-flop friendly) - Sandals or slip-ons - Nice sandals or low heels (chunky heels > stilettos on stone!) - Bathing suit (wedding villa has a pool!) - Poolside cover-up - Sunglasses - Toiletries - It might be nice to have a travel steamer or wrinkle-release spray (Europe loves linen, linen loves creases)

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We kindly ask that our wedding be a grown-up celebration. While we absolutely love your littles (so much!), we’re hoping to create a more relaxed, adults-only atmosphere for the day. That said, if you're traveling with kiddos, we want this to work for everyone and are open to exploring an onsite babysitting solution. ❤️

Question

How do we get there?

Answer

If you head over to our "travel" tab, we have some information on transportation to get to Verona. As for the wedding day, we will organize a shuttle to get everyone to and from VerdeOlivo safely -- more on that later :)

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

If you head over to the "travel" tab, we have some hotel/airbnb suggestions. We want to make it easy for our guests, since you're coming a long way for us! You are under no obligation to book any of those places, and if you find something else you would like for us to share with our guests, please let us know!
