Frequently Asked Questions
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

August 1st, 2025

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You should arrive at Legacy Lodge to check in by 4pm. Once you've checked in and signed the waiver, you will be able to board the Payday chairlift up to the ceremony site. The ceremony will begin at 5pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cowboy glam! Please wear formal attire that's either fun in color or fun in texture (fringe, feathers, sequins, etc.). Pair it with a cowboy accessory (cowboy hat, cowboy boots, turquoise jewelry, bolo ties, etc.). This isn't a costume party, so please dress for a formal occasion still. You may also want to consider wearing sunglasses and sunblock for the chairlift ride. We've included a mood board of the vibe at the top of this FAQ!

Question

What if I want to give the bride and groom a gift?

Answer

If you do feel inclined, we are gratefully accepting contributions to our honeymoon fund, which can be found on the registry tab of this website. We feel we already have everything we need at the moment, and since we're flying back to California after the celebration, we’re hoping to keep our luggage light. Your gift will help us create lifelong memories together—thank you for being part of our journey!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we're only able to accommodate those guests listed on the invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We're keeping the celebration mostly kid-free to keep things intimate. We'll be including children from our immediate families, and we hope you understand our decision as we try to keep the day small and meaningful.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are numerous hotels and condos in the area. We highly recommend you look on Airbnb for options that are close to the Legacy Lodge, such as the Marriott Mountainside Resort, the Village Loft, the Lodge at Mountain Village, the Lowell, and Shadow Ridge. All of these hotels/condos can be rented via Airbnb and are walking distance to the venue.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Free parking is available to wedding guests in the main Park City surface lot and First Time Lot.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately no, we advise all guests to plan ahead for a rental car, rideshare, or to walk to the venue.

Question

This is a unique venue... what do I need to know?

Answer

The ceremony will be held mid mountain at Alpine Meadows. Guests will need to arrive at Legacy Lodge by 4pm and meet the event coordinator on the balcony. The event coordinator will check each guest in, provide a waiver to sign, and a ticket to each guest for the chairlift and the alpine slide. Guests will then board the Payday chairlift to the ceremony site. Once the ceremony concludes, all guests will grab a sled and board the alpine slide! The alpine slide is a safe and easy ride for most people - think of it as a smooth, scenic glide down the mountain. That said, we recommend wearing comfortable attire and secure shoes. Dress wearing folk, you may want to wear shorts under your dress... or let it ride, yeehaw!
